Thank you Good Morning Britain and Jonathan Dimbleby for a lovely positive report re the King’s first year. I’m sure both his mum and dad would have been very proud of him.

Two things really stand out for me at the beginning of his reign: The first, his address to the nation from Buckingham Castle a few days after her death and, second, he and Camilla 'working' and 'glad-handling the crowd' (as we say here in the US) not long after. I know Her Majesty was more reserved, and I understand it, but ... seeing him on the lines and talking and shaking hands (and even letting a woman giving him a peck on the cheek) ... that really stood out for me.

They broke the mould when her Majesty was born. Our King will also be remembered for his patience and all the work he has done as her son.

It’s been so seamless that you continue to have protests, people tossing 🍅 at him and younger Brit’s can’t stand the monarchy. Yep, it’s been a smooth transition. 😝

@@briant.8553 A handful of protesters (that they had to bolster the numbers by bringing people in from Europe), compared with million of well-wisher?

@@Seb_Snufflepuss a handful huh. If it was a handful why did the petty King try to put somewhere they couldn’t be televised and the cops were coming down on them as if they were in N. Korea? The. He was getting booed in. Scotland, but I’m sure it was nothing. Those polls you guys love to give show he’s not liked by a fair amount of people, especially under 35. Yeah, it’s nothing.

They are just few in number. There have always been such anti-monarchists throughout centuries. It's better to ignore them..

These overpayed overprivilaged people are not relevant in the present 'cost of living' crisis, they have much too money to have any Idea, of how the rest of us live. They could donate to more charities than they do!

It shows that you do not have a clue about how many people they reach every day through their work and how much they do for charitable causes, also acting as societal focal point for our fractured society.
