For the concept of an agent of will, a person affected may experience this: their will, intent, flow of urges will be fast forwarded 8 seconds - when narancua died - kc was activated - diavolo’s Will was to kill narancia, amongst the confusion of who’s who, and return back to normal - under the guise of being in someone else’s body. Everything in Jojo is fated to happen. King Crimson + Epitaph allows Diavolo to see the fated event and have it play out while he is capable of moving around to avoid an incoming attack + reposition himself for a counter attack. For everyone else - time skips without any understanding as to why. This can cause confusion and ends most opponents in the first encounter. If Diavolo were to be crushed by a giant waffle that was about to fall on him, but King Crimson + Epitaph used their abilities of premonition and time skipping - he could have the waffle fall down as he repositions on top of it to avoid the deathly injury.

this explains it well, but doesn’t explain one of the big quirks of king crimson’s ability. event erasure. a bullet is traveling towards a target, on course to collide with it. if king crimson’s ability erases the would-be moment of impact, the impact never happens and the bullet continues to travel past the target. this, combined with doppio’s epitaph, which is able to see the window of time that king crimson is able to erase, allows diavolo to basically never suffer any consequences ever.

That's not an ability of King Crimson. The ability is that King Crimson (and Diavolo for having the stand) is able to act within the skipped time, which he can only do because of Epitath. If King Crimson skips time, a bullet will still hit and injure someone. However, if that person is King Crimson's owner, then the set events that would have happened in that time still happen, but Diavolo gets to decide a different course of action he would have taken in that time frame to avoid the bullet, like stepping to the side. This is why he can doughtnut Bucciarati. He skipped the time of Bruno acting like he would have, which was peeping and sneaking, and decided in that 10 second window, he would run up and fist him. So those 10 seconds skip and the result is that Diavolo is elbow deep in Bruno's chest.
