You forgot to mention that we can use tilts, jabs, and smash attacks out of a dash. This means that Dedede has more options to approach the opponent on the ground. He can do things like space side tilt which would either force them to stay on shield, try to get away, or try to challenge Dedede.

I really hope DeDeDe can inhale Projectiles. The only good thing about DeDeDe’s Inhale is that it has better range than Kirby and is DeDeDe’s only landing option. If it gets a property that allows it to differentiate it from Kirby’s then it could be used more of a projectile bait move rather than a meme or suicide option.

Smash 4 inhale can eat some projectiles, but the startup and recovery time is horrendous. I hope he can spit it back instantly like his Taste Test custom move can.

Kirby can inhale and spit out projectiles as stars like how he beats bosses without a Copy Ability. King Dedede might have the same inhale like attack but nothing like that, but since Kirby has it mabey Dedede will get something like it, though unlike Kirby King Dedede actually has some form of projectile.

something cool that was spotted in K Rools Fighter video: King Dedede were able to inhale K Rools Cannonball and spit it out as a Cannonball, like a Semi Villagers Pocket that means 2 things. 1. Inhale has better use 2. You can (most likely) hit Gordo before its reflected like WFT can with her football! why most likely is we never saw dedede do Gordo and hit, we only saw it after gordo already hit something (lucina)

Dedede looks way better and more stylish. I mained him in 4 even though he was low on the tier list. Hope he’s good this time. I love playing him but due to him being so underpowered, it got annoying. Took me a year to be “good” with him.

itsdomin I can play decently with Dedede on the Wii, but I struggle greatly trying to play him on the DS. The best thing I’ve heard from this video is that his lag is reduced. I swear sometimes controlling Dedede can feel like wading through mud, but with the lack of lag getting combos should be a hella lot easier!

Couldn't find a hitbox visualization of DDD's bair so thanks for including it! I was reading that people said the animation was just to match the old hitbox, which apparently isn't actually an arc. Which is weird, always thought DDD's bair was really cool in that it swung a huge arc but guess it was just a lie lol Holy shit, didn't ever think about how we can't charge Jet Hammer right now... at least not since the Brawl days haha Really like this analysis, good job and thanks for making!

With the stuff we received alongside K. Rool, I think it's safe to say that inhaling attacks will be able to inhale-and-spit physical projectiles at least, and maybe also energy projectiles. That already improves Dedede so much!

If Jet hammer could be used as a smash attack, for instance, when letting go of the attack button while snapping the control stick to the right would enable Dedede to spin crazily with his hammer forward and/or backwards (like he does in the games) would be a crazy cool offensive option and provide great coverage as well as looking awesome.

Dedede can occasionally get a true down throw to up air kill confirm in 4 depending on opponent weight, fall speed, and DI. Because of the frame three jump squat and heightened initial full hop and double jump, this should be made much easier to get considering up air has the same start frames and down throw doesn't have significant knockback buffed. Assuming Sakurai doesn't get this changed once he sees it as he got rid of a lot of true kill confirms, this could be our ticket. He gets it rather early and rage messes it up so late rage only helps. Assuming this is an actual thing, he could be more viable against everyone, killing almost everyone at 80%-120%. However, this will change the game to the opponents trying to avoid their kill percents assuming that he is relevant enough in the meta, and then it will mess with their thinking process of you go for edge guarding kills or other kill options.

For Bair, I'm merely thinking it turns Dedede around, just like Marth's Bair. For the down tilt, my only thought was that Dedede may be able to roll either forward or backward with the right angle on down (down forward or down back).

Nice analysis. Dedede actually can change the trajectory of his Gordo if it's reflected. He can either hit side b again or air dodge I believe, and then just like a normal side b he can rethrow it at any angle. Dedede does have to rely on reads a lot but he's actually really good in smash 4, just insanely technical. You have to be constantly setting up traps with Gordo, there's an insane amount of stuff you setup so it's really easy to mix it up. Also the fact that you could reflect Gordo in smash 4 didn't really seem like a downside, it gets a damage multiplier each time it is reflected once for each character, so all you have to do is re-reflect Gordo and hit the other player, sometimes they'll still be in their endlag animation and can't escape it. Also he is the edge guarding king, with an insane recovery he can go super deep off ledge, and he can setup ledge traps where you get the Gordo stuck on the ledge while someone's trying to recover, and then dair-ing them when they're in hitstun. His meta is just super underdeveloped because no one plays him

Sadly it didn't seem like his air speed was any different from what you could see from the trailers. But as you said this is an earlier build of the game, things may change until the full game comes out.

King 3DK Faster recovery. Getting combos is going to be a hella lot easier since neutral-air isn’t the only move that can be used on ground targets safely.

Change his Jet Hammer so you can angle it or, alternatively, greatly increase mobility while charging. Change his up special so you can cancel out of it without entering a helpless state (but no more jumps). Decrease the damage and knock back of deflected Gordos and/or make his Gordos so that they're not easily deflected by weak enemy projectiles.

Back Air animation change is definitely interesting. I personally would've preferred if they kept the Wii U animation and made the hitbox actually follow the motion of the hammer through its swing, but maybe that would be too difficult to use consistently. Hard to say but nevertheless Ultimate D3 looks good.
