King Ghidorah VS Shimu - Who Would Win?

There is a reason why Godzilla decided to amp up twice in the movie: Shimo is just that strong. And take note, if you truly watched the movie, that Godzilla was amplified by the strongest stuck pile of energy on earth at the TIAMATS chamber. And even with Godzilla's evolution, he never truly did major damage to Shimo; Shimo tanked multiple evolved atomic breaths, and Shimo just stood up again.

And to clarify the second part, incasing him in ice 'bypasses' his regeneration not be being something he can't heal from, but rather, completely and totally immobilizing him defeats him without injuring him in the first place.

It's clear they were not fighting to the death like skar king and kong were. During the moments we see her in the end we see she has a very docile personality never challenging godzilla or kong meaning even if she has the power to be an alpha titan she does not desire it which is displayed even more with allowing kong to ride her and pet her like a dog. Godzilla would never let anyone touch him that way comparably while kong probably would let someone touch in that manner he would still be less aggressive to be touched than kong who as we saw also didn't yearn to be the alpha titan he just didn't want to submit to anyone HOWEVER let's say the skar king was a benevolent king, Kong would have respected his rule, maybe even one day becoming a high ranking kong etc. Point is it is shimo mentality that would make her lose. She has a docile mind, kong has a peaceful mind, and godzilla has a dominant mind

She was literally abused and tormented by Skar King for a lengthy period of time, and she only then realized it after Kong and Godzilla were pointing it out, AND SHE LEGIT CONTEMPLATED SHOOTING HER BEAM AT SKAR KING AT ALL WHEN THAT HAPPENED 💀 Also, keep in mind that Ghidorah isn’t just going to stand there and let her just freeze him, we’ve seen that he can run as fast, if not faster than Shimo, and we’re not even taking into account the fact that he can fly. Ghidorah is one of, if not the smartest kaiju in the MonsterVerse, meaning that he’s notably more intelligent than Shimo who showed an average intelligence compared to the other Kaiju. Ghidorah would take not of her weaknesses and use them to his advantage, such as her tank-like build, her lack of agility, the fact that she can’t aim her beam directly upwards when on land, meaning Ghidorah could slam into her in a kamikaze-like fashion on her back and do all the damage he needs before heading away. Ghidorah is easily capable of doing this since he was able to knock back Rodan who is is able to generate 9 TRILLION JOULES OF POWER due to his absolutely insane speed paired with his mass (someone literally did the math and proved this).

Evolved Godzilla was considered to be at half his power and half his fully evolved state. And when Godzilla and shimo focused on each other shimo was getting ragdolled but not as much as Ghidorah was when he fought Godzilla and needed 18 tons of plot armor to escape Godzilla.

@@CobbleBompster The novel doesn’t give us extra details on the 20x atomic capacity, but it can be assumed that he is a LOT stronger than before. Titans become stronger based on how much radiation they have so it’s not far fetched to believe he’s that much stronger. A character in the novel also states that Godzillas energy levels and readings are off the charts, and is nothing like they’ve seen before (this is said during the Rio fight when he charges up to blast Skar King). This could also imply that Godzilla in the evolved form has surpassed even the power of his Atomic Form, and actually be able to control its power. And as we all know this same form no-low diffed an amped Ghidorah. Pretty much I’m saying Shimo wins

Since I have watched the film, I’m gonna put this into perspective so that people can figure it out for themselves who wins between Ghidorah and Shimo base to base I will be getting into spoiler so if you don’t wanna be spoiled, this is your warning (Either way if you get spoiled or not I don’t really care but I don’t want a bunch of people replying complaining about spoilers) Godzilla during the fight with Ghidorah in Boston is amped by a single nuke. This nuke is fairly large with Godzilla being able to absolutely trash Ghidorah during the beginning of the Boston fight. The novelisation even states that Ghidorah was getting so bad beaten that his regeneration couldn’t keep up and that at some point he tried to run away. This is when Godzilla is amped by a single nuke against a base Ghidorah. Compare that to shimo who fought evolved Godzilla. Evolved Godzilla before going into ice went to multiple power plants to supercharge, after that he went to Tiamat lair, killed Tiamat and hibernated their to power up as Tiamat lair was sitting in the paths of some electromagnetically charged solar winds and was said to be the greatest source of energy on earth and Godzilla absorbed that power before evolving. Despite all that, Shimo was still able to hold her own against evolved Godzilla and even managed to physically overpower him at one point. Ghidorah was getting beaten down by a Godzilla who absorbed the power of one nuke. Shimo was fighting against a Godzilla who was amped by at least two power plants and electromagnetically charged Olaf winds and Shimo still held her own decently well. I think this is pretty clear cut

Yeah, this is the point a lot of people are missing. Evolved Godzilla is a magnitude stronger than the Godzilla that fought Ghidorah, of which Ghidorah was beaten by Base Godzilla once, and nearly a second time in the ocean. Shimo meanwhile took multiple Spiral Breaths, including a prolonged one to the Neck with no noticeable damage.

Yea it seemed like Godzilla didn't even try against Shimo. He didn't stomp, claw attack, or use the nuclear pulse. He was just trying to knock some sense into Shimo. I think he went evolved to fight Shimo, Scar King and the ape army. He didn't know about Kong or Mothra. Kong handled Scar King and Mothra was able to web the other apes, and Suko was their for back up.

Tough call. I give the edge to Shimu. Both are literally living extinction bringers. Ghidorah brings wind speeds of 400 mph, and can create cyclones every 5 minutes due to air pressure while Shimu brings the ice age with her. Godzilla was able to put Ghidorah in a block of ice so Shimu's Power will be potent enough. But Ghidorah has gravity beams that messes anything up (including Godzilla), able to drain opponents, and strong enough to lift Godzilla and fly him into the stratosphere and drop him. On one side, I saw Ghidorah as a far bigger threat and Godzilla almost died fighting Ghidorah. Shimu wasn't nearly as bad but at the same time Shimu was being controlled so I can't say she was fighting at 100%. Also, her breath weapon should cancel Ghidorah's Regeneration.

Here are two things I can imagine: 1. Ghidorah manages to dodge Shimo’s ice beam and continuously electrocutes Shimo, which maybe could weaken her as electricity is a type of heat and it can melt ice? 2. Shimo freezes Ghidorah’s wings, since it’s a massive target even if he’s flying around, and he falls to the ground. Then Shimo comes over and starts overwhelming Ghidorah with her strength and tankiness.

Ghidorah travels through space, which reaches a temp near absolute zero, there is no such thing as beyond absolute zero, that´s how resistant Ghidorah is against cold. Shimo doesn´t summon blocks of ice around you, she freezes stuff, Ghidorah being frozen in the waters of Antartica was very situational. I think this match can favor Ghidorah but I admit that overall Shimo´s size alone would make it hard for Ghidorah to win.

So, a few things: 1. The new novel confirms that Shimo was responsible for Ghidorah being Frozen. This was a weakened Ghidorah after loosing the fight against Godzilla and was a side effect of her freezing power. 2. Ghidorah Lost both the initial fight in the past to Base Godzilla and was losing the fight in the Ocean to Godzilla until the Oxygen destroyer was deployed. Evolved Godzilla, which was stated during the movie to be 20x stronger did zero damage to Shimo during their fight. 3. Evolved Godzilla had to be saved by Mothra during the initial fight as he was being frozen by Shimo. 4. Shimo took multiple direct Spiral breath blasts from Evolved Godzilla, including a prolonged blast at her Neck without showing so much of a burn. 5. Shimos physical strength is insane, she was able to just casually toss Godzilla and Kong around with zero effort. 6. The entire fight Shimo is actively struggling against the pain and mind control of the Skar King, being forced to fight against her will. She was resisting the fight the entire time. So in summary a Evolved Godzilla, who is 20x stronger and would absolutely dogwalk Ghidorah did zero damage to Shimo. Godzilla actively sought out a massive energy boost and evolution just to prepare for a conflict with Shimo. He was confident enough to go right for Ghidorah without any prep. While Shimo conversely did not do any real damage to Godzilla, she did not want to fight and was actively resisting. I don't even think Ghidorah can harm Shimo, it would only take one blast to freeze him again, and prolonged exposure to her beam would actively destroy his molecules. Shimo is so much stronger than Ghidorah, it's not even close. A fight between the two with Shimo actively trying would be a dogwalk.

I totally agree, and since am a monsterverse fanboy, I have got this fight broken down to absolute science, so if you wanna hear a guy yapping in the comments for literal eons, feel free ! Ghidorah was stated to have fallen from the sky, impyling that he was in space, and the vacum of space is probably the coldest place in the universe, so ice powers wouldn't really affect him, also that vacum is imensly powerful and crushes non fortified objects, so ghidorah's durability is insane, then the blue godzilla's beam is somehow stronger than the pink one's, (spoiler warning) there was a scene where he managed to briefly hit skar king's shoulder while he was leaping just like he did in gvk to kong, but skar king showed no signs of injury after the brief hit while kong, who is clearly more durable and combat built, had a visible burn on the spot where he got hit, so godzilla's beam after he evolves gets weaker in exchange for a better physical prowess, also you have to take into account that pre evolved godzilla weights more than his evolved version, and ghidorah was able to lift that guy up to the stratosphere while shimo literally got pushed around by a lighter and less bulky godzilla, also most of her feats take place in the hollow earth, where it is pretty evident that gravity works diffrently and everything is generally lighter, as evolved godzilla can literally support kong on his back with ease (thats also cuz hes physically stronger but also because hes in the hollow earth), and skar can literally perform kaiju-tsu (goji center reference), not to mention all the insane leaps kong does that he has never achived in the surface. Also beam strength goes to ghidorah since not only can he fire it from 3 seperate points but he was also shown to have a way more powerful impact with it's beam, on the one hand shimo's beam wasn't enough to push kong more than a couple kaiju steps back within the hollow earth where everything is lighter, while ghidorah knocked over AND pushed hundreds if not a thousand meters back a heavier godzilla in the surfice. Lastly, shimo's passive ability to freeze the enviroment around her will become a downside since ghidorah's greater weakness is underwater fights, and if shimo tries to lure him near an ocean she will turn the ocean into a large flat battle ground, which is ghidorah's preffered battle ground as we can see in the aftermath of the boston fight, in all the other mv fights many buildings were left standing but during the boston fight ghidorah was purposely kncoking down buildings because he needs a lot of room to fight freely while dragging around his massive wings, and so if shimo atempts to lure him in water she will give him a perfect battle ground and an unfair advantage. Conclusion, ghidorah wins mid-high difficulty.

I got my hands on a digital version of the GxK Novelization. -It retcons Dougherty’s statements regarding Godzilla freezing Ghidorah, and that Shimo’s ice signature is present where Ghidorah was frozen, implying she had a role in it or was completely responsible. -The novel also states that Shimo is bigger than Ghidorah and Godzilla -Shimo is called the “Hypothetical” or Monster H for short, because not much was known about her, only small glimpses, and her existence was hypothetical. They also speculated that she could’ve died out if she did exist long ago. -she’s also referred to as a “world ender -Ilene Andrew’s says she may have translated the Iwi Text Wrong because she was in a hurry, saying Shimo could be the original titan, ultimate titan, or quintessential titan. -Godzilla even in his new supercharged evolved form seemed unsure about if he could beat Shimo. -The Monarch director thinks that Shimo is about equal to evolved Godzilla, but she’s unsure and could go either way. -The energy signatures/levels on Godzilla in the final battle in Rio were stated to have never been seen before, meaning it could even be more powerful than Burning Godzilla depending how you want to interpret that. Overall Shimo is on par with an evolved Godzilla who’s “Spiral Heat Ray” is pretty much canon now. She would most likely be able to best even Ghidorah, and probably wouldn’t be extremely difficult for her either.

Ghidorah required a major amp to overpower Godzilla, who wasn't even actually amped yet. As soon as Mothra stabilized Godzilla's radiation levels, Godzilla completely obliterated Ghidorah. That same amped Ghidorah isn't beating, or even matching, Evolved Godzilla or Shimo.

Shimo should win here with mid-high difficulties. Burning and Evolved Godzilla are forms based on fighting the most significant threats on the planet. Evolved Godzilla seems more concentrated and capable of utilizing destructive power like his burning form instead of being a one-shot power-up. Shimo's ice blast should stop Ghidorah momentarily from flying away and maul him like a raging grizzly bear.

This is now not correct. New Novel for GxK states that Shimo did Freeze Ghidorah, though indirectly after Godzilla had fought and beat him. So, she didn't even target him, he was frozen as a side effect of her ability.

I think Shimo is taking ghidora as Shimo kind of counters his abilities and to be fair I haven’t seen the new movie yet but I just feel Shimos size and destructive power can be able to take ghidora because if Shimo is taking a couple hits from him and coming out but if Ghidora takes 2 even 1 hit from the frost beam he is screwed and prob loses his wings or even a head which would disadvantage him long enough for Shimo to take him out

It is in fact really close but I think shimo would win extreme difficulty. Scaling wise godzilla absorbed the energy of solar flares from Tiamat's lair before fighting her. Feat wise she probably caused the ice age quicker than ghidorah would terraform earth. Shimo could freeze tidal waves solid. If they fight anywhere near a water environment I think she has the edge. One thing is for sure : Evolved godzilla would slaughter ghidorah.

Evolved Godzilla was being overpowered by Shimo. Godzilla got help from Mothra but Shimo did not get help and was even distracted because she was attacking Kong. Bloodlusted Shimo might have frozen and smashed Godzilla and Kong quickly.
