Hearing your “journey” with the rem 700 brings back fiery memories lol. I had a remington in 2008 that was actually a tac driver but the bolt was so stiff that when you unlocked after firing the gun wanted to roll over. When I traded it off it had all the park rubbed off one bolt lug. The other was pristine. Same gun started out with such a rough bore it would copper foul out in 20-30 rounds. After about 500 rounds the bore at least got slicker.

I’m with uncle bill on the phenolic bolt handle. Reminds me of running manual machine tools and similar machinery. Part of the reason I love the accuracy international bolt guns is the round handle with the belt bolt.

This rifle is incredibly well thought out. My experience with Remington's from the 90s and 2000s mirrors Bill's. I love the cut rifled medium profile 416r Barrel without fluting, and the fact that you did not use carbon fiber for the barrel. The Manners stock is a perfect choice. A lot of people on the Internet won't appreciate some of the design features that went into this rifle, but I definitely do

The round bolt knob. Accuracy Internationals, Sakos all come with round bolt knobs and are some of the most modern rifles out there.

Dogon I can’t help how cool Geissele is. Reminds me of Daniel Defense. Just like DD, never forgot about the citizens and allowing them to buy everything the government buys. Not pulling an HK or KAC on us all. Start out in a niche industry like a trigger, add serious improvements to the black rifle, gain a zillion contracts, then slowly come out with other amazing things.

Why would anyone want a flow through on a bolt gun
@GeisseleAutomatics7 сағат бұрын
@@mortaljorgeguy it’s a great question. Since most users may be already apart of the Geissele family the odds are many have HUX suppressors already so giving them the ability to use it and not need to get another tax stamp was important to us. The brake is also removable if you prefer other devices.

It seems like everybody is making an ultra expensive rifle these days. I’m not knocking Geissele or any other manufacturer but I personally would like to see accurate rifles that just about everyone can afford. It just seems like firearms manufacturers should be able to produce a rifle that actually works and fits the design tolerances as standard. Why should customers be expected to pay more for something that was actually designed and manufactured correctly. That’s just my thoughts.

At the price level it's at, it isn't a gun for the average guy. And the Backcountry isn't a cartridge I'd be pinning the sales of the gun on. You'll need a few more cartridges to be available.

@lmbear3 сағат бұрын
You got a dud Sendero. I bought 700's back in the 90's, that would drive tacks, and they were not even the heavy long barreled Sendero model. Just the BDL's. You must have really bad luck, picking out factory rifles. The Rem 700 is known as an inherently accurate rifle. The most recent SS mountain rifle, chambered for 30-06 will put 5 shots into .7" consistently, with different ammo. Most guys know, when people are blowing smoke, and your example of these factory rifles shooting 2-5 minutes of angle at 100 yards, is ridiculous.
@jackbauer418612 минут бұрын
Police units and militaries all over N America werent using Rem 700 platforms if they shot 5" groups. The notion that those rifles ever did that is just lunacy. The Ren 700 was one of the most popular bolt action platforms IN America for 30 yrs for a reason.

Ironic that your first barrels you were making for 5.56 guns were rusting badly. This whole video is just like, “uh my Remington was shitty from the factory, so I did this and this and this and this and this to it to make it shoot good, and you can buy my rifle that has ALL THAT already done to it, of course for 5x the price!!” And it’s in a wildcat. Holy shit the video gets worse the longer I watch. Just a terrible sales video with bs stories to make you relate and want to spend your money.

ill be honest i dont give a rats booty about a cartridge i cant reload, this stuff with the hybrid cases is just a ploy to make reloading your own ammo damn near impossible,
@GeisseleAutomatics7 сағат бұрын
@@coal_tactical well you can reload it! There are dies in the making to make this a simple process. The hybrid case is designed for increased velocity from shorter barrels. This is a technological gain not just for reloaders. Getting magnum performance from a 20 in barrel and no increase parts wear is a win.
