No problem Khawaja, and we completely agree, feels like you're on a different world when you're standing up there, it's no wonder they wanted to film King Kong there

Ninh Binh is such a stunning place so gutted I did not have a drone at this stage in my Instagram life the shots would of been epic
@MarkAmanda6 жыл бұрын
lol, we know that feeling all too well! I should had let Mark buy the drone before we left but instead we bought it in Australia lol 💜Amanda

Fantastic video! I love that you included the food in here as well, that is one thing that we loved about Ninh Binh but didn't really get the chance to talk about. It also looked just as grey for you as it was before we left, which I was actually not mad about. It was a whole different experience. Great stuff, looking forward to seeing more!

Those mountains looking freaky quiet but as you watch king kong it looks so wild and scary. You guys standing on the top of the mountain not being afraid of heights, good thing you didn't tripped as you step on those sharp pointed rocks. Didn't you guys ever get tired of climbing way to the edge of the top of that mountain? It ooks very hard to step up in there...
@MarkAmanda6 жыл бұрын
Haha, no we get tired all the time! And yes, tripping and catching a sharp rock to the eye was in the back of our heads, but then you look out at the view and forget about being tired and scared :)

totally worth all those steps ^^ We took a tour and it felt too rushed and didn't see and experience as much as you did.. you guys really know how to do it.. OMG.. that bus... i cant wait for the next video
@MarkAmanda6 жыл бұрын
That sucks - tours are really hit or miss. We usually learn more about the history and culture on tours, but like you said, they are always rushed and you can't move at your own pace. We literally spent over 2 hours up on the mountain

@1:44 you guys are drinking "Rượu". In Vietnamese, it's a general term for liquor, wine or the vast majority of (stronger) alcoholic drinks, other than beer. This term is usually used with another word to be more specific. For example, "Rượu vang" means "wine", "rượu tây" covers most types of distilled beverage from the Western world (literal translation: western liquor") or "rượu thuốc" means some kind of medicinal liquor (usually they put herbs, some types of roots or even snakes in the liquor). In this case though, it's highly likely that you guys were drinking "rượu gạo" (literal translation: rice liquor). It's distilled from white rice and Ninh Binh is very well-known for this kind of liquor. Keep it up guys. Really enjoy your videos.
@MarkAmanda6 жыл бұрын
Ahh, thanks for the info! We were confused because we were trying to research Rượu but saw that they were a bunch of different types. It tasted pretty good, but it was great to have a drink with the locals, they were funny and friendly

EPIC! Even on the cloudy day :) You guys are hilarious too, love the whole helmet discussion lol. Dude I need to get something like that pocket wifi thing, do you have a link to where you bought it? Oh and where you do find your music?
@MarkAmanda6 жыл бұрын
Haha, thanks! That helmet situation was pretty hilarious, it was crushing my brain! We got the pocketwifi at goo.gl/cKovG3 and we get all of our music from Epidemic Sound. We used to use Artlist, but they have a small library and ran out of choices quick.

I’m going there with my girlfriend in May. So you would stay more near Tam Coc rather then Ninh Binh city? Motorbike is the only way to get around? How hard was the climb? Any more helpful tips?
@MarkAmanda4 жыл бұрын
There was more businesses that cater to tourists near Tam Coc. The climb up was pretty easy, we did it in sandals, although would recommend shoes/sneakers
