The difference in quality between the 8-channel SNES and the 15-channel Neo Geo with FM sound is quite huge.

yeah, this version feels weak. Even the Genesis version made it sound better with fewer channels some how. also the main melody is drowning out some of the backing instruments....

well as luck would have it 10 years later its been uploaded quite a bit. ;) Also I recommend listening to the Genesis version too. It sounds closer to the arcade version (well as close as the Mega Drive/Genesis soundchip can get. The electric guitar picked is also a lot rougher than the SNES one and the drum samples are pretty cool.)

I personally prefer the Genesis version of this song. The sharp electric synth really adds to it.

Any tunes that are meant to be metal or rock always came out better on the Megadrive of SNES. Still love them both though. They both had great games and even diff version per platform.

yeah but the Mega Drive version does not have the kick ass solo like 1:00 - 1:23
