The greatest choral recording ever made. I had the pleasure of seeing them do this in person in 1984 and the whole front row was nearly spit on. I've heard this thousands of times since then, and I am more amazed every time.

These "mistakes" are because the song was written in Old French, at which time spelling was different, there were no accents and grammar was non-standardized.

I love this piece, but could someone please help me? I want to lead a discussion in my French conversation class about French Renaissance music, and this is one of the pieces I want to use. Does anyone know what paintings are shown during this segment of the documentary, or how I can find that out? I have tried googling "Battle of Marignano" or "Bataille de Marignan," and I get different paintings. I want to print and distribute images of each of the instruments of music and war described in this song, to give myself and fellow students as full an understanding of the lyrics as possible. Un truc horrible, il ne faut pas oublier que "La guerre de Janequin" date de la renaissance ! Les voix sont non vibrés a cette époque !!! Sa gâche tout l'aspect de la Renaissance..
