Nice one. An interesting release from Seiko and I can't wait to see the review. As I have a small 6 inch wrist as well I know how hard it is to find the size which fits the wrist perfectly in contemporary timepieces offered by those watchmakers. Therefore I'm always happy to see new watches that are inspired by vintage pieces. Keep up the good work!

I'd like to comment on all the replies that refer to the 6R31 movement as "crappy", "low quality" "low grade", etc. by saying, these qualities actually apply to a movement that breaks down or loses an hour a day or more or has very little power reserve. In other words, doesn't work. Unfortunately, in this day and age, automatic movements are expected to be almost perfect. If you want perfection, buy a good quartz watch. Otherwise, be happy that your automatic movement is keeping good time and appreciate the engineering that was built into the movement. Seiko is one of the best watch producers in the world and the 6R31 is a quality movement, period.

I have to admit this is a beautiful watch. The case, dial and bracelet look amazing. Unfortunately it’s let down by a crappy 6R31 movement. Should have had a 6L35 (no-date 6L31?) with a display caseback for the asking price. Don’t worry about your 6” wrist and how the watch looks. No one outside of a watch forum is going to care how it looks. Just enjoy your new King Seiko.

I don't quite understand why they've so suddenly decided to revive the King Seiko branding, but I firmly believe that at this price point, for most people buying a vintage KS 44/56/45 is probably a better choice at a fraction of the price, and you will own a genuine piece of history rather than a frankly fairly meaningless revival of a long gone brand that isn't particularly remarkable in any way (the revival, not KS, which was a very remarkable brand at its peak, of course), and costs as much as a few years old Spring Drive GS...

I agree that there are vintage King Seiko's but those still in good condition are hard to come by. Then, there are concerns about the conditions. Some may need servicing which could end up costing more than the price of the watch. I did discuss the concerns of getting a used watch in one or two of my older videos. This KS is something I can buy to celebrate the history. The best part is that I don't have to worry if it's a fake or a Frankewatch 😊
