​@@marklabelle7371 So I bought the Ender 3 S1 Pro because it can print high temp materials like HTPLA+ for the sliders, and Nylon PA12 for the wheels that cover the bearings. Noob advice from another 3D printinig noob: when printing parts that need to fit together, in more advanced engineering grade materials, research how to tune filaments. Bed adhesion is top priority because nothing will print successfully if the object you're trying to print moves around mid-print (use Elmers purple gluestick for high temp filament, Magigoo for normal temp stuff), but that's also where tuning each specific filament comes into play because you'll figure out what temp it prints best at, also over or under extrusion (flow), retraction distance and speed, etc. It all might seem like a lot but it's not, and it all makes sense once you get into it, and it's so worth it. Go ahead and do a search on Thingiverse for kingsong, see all that comes up. It's worth it.

The KingSong Rollers are a good start. Additionally, I would like to see each roller pair on the slider rails be made as a spring loaded roller-cams, each pair (now 16 pairs?) having pressure behind the contact with the channel. HDPE (like Delron) should be used for both rollers and the channel liner, and the roller should be gears so that friction doesn't lock the rollers and wear the surfaces inappropriately. Also weather protection and brushes should be incorporated to assist in rejecting foreign materials from the slider channels. ... There are better solutions but this one is able to be retrofitted to Gen 1 models. Great job by the community in saving the Phoenix from the ashes!

The S22 with this upgrade is such an amazing wheel, I choose it over my Rockshox Master almost every time when I ride, the main difference is the travel length of the shock it makes such a big difference

In terms of performance they are very similar (I've used both) but durability on the CNC is better due to the POM wheels.

@Ronnie Rides those 3-D prints not going to last and wear fast.. I notice a big difference. nothing compares to the Aluminum CNC roller bearing slider :)

Another mod is to properly shim the shock and pivot bolts as needed. Typically the stock bolts are too short, and then the bearings are bound up by use of flat washers preventing them from moving freely.

Oh yeah I forgot about that issue. They needed longer bolts and nylon washers I believe.

Question for the s22 veterans. I found the wheel to be too tall for me on the highest (stock) geometry setting. I'm tempted to change the geometry to the lowest setting, but am worried that with the stock coil I would often bottom out thus affecting longevity. I weigh 75 kg. I don't do stairs or huge jumps, just curbs. Anyone know if this would be a problem?

I still want to take the stock KS-S22 and test graphite on the slides. I'm not aware of anyone who tested that, if someone knows a result with that configuration, I'd love to hear it. The reason for testing graphite is that that it doesn't collect foreign material and has a much wider temperature range. That said Kingsong should have had this sorted out before going to market. I still really like the company but they gave themselves an unnecessary black eye here, which is unfortunate.

Yeah every wheel don't feel the same if you master one wheel then hop on a smaller or bigger one it might feel like you need to relearn again but then again a few people can hop on a new wheel no problem but I understand what you mean

I am planning to get King Song S22 Pro for the purpose of off-road riding (the S22 pro version with the new 4000w motor -> more power, new rail suspension system with rollings, new mainboard, more powerful mosfets). The price of today (18-02-2023) is 3100€. Is there a better wheel for up to flat 4000€ that I can find for heavy off-road (with suspension)? I value the most: 1) the quality of the parts (especially the ones that might break during a fall), 2) torque 3) durability 4) good suspension Is there anything you would recommend that meets my^ requirements?

S22. The S18 is a 3P battery system. Great for casual use, but can be over torqued and cut out once you start pushing the limits. Buy once cry once.

The main question is, how long does it last. This new sliders. I suppose dirt and dust still there? And yes, this suspension system kind of overengineered, Sherman s approach looks much more promising, simpler and efficient. There is no need to reinvent the suspension.

If you can afford the v13 ied go with that. This has the same range as the v12 just with suspension. V13 you can get 100 miles range depending on how aggressive your riding. Also if you like speed the v13 can go 55 mph and has suspension. Way more upgrades and is supposed to be one of the safest wheels to date

Don't trust Kingsong. Bad sliders, bad chinesium screws , bad motors, bolts that are too short, sloppy work, metal splinters inside motors, lies. Delays. Kingsong is a laff. We need powerfull suspension EUCs - but Kingsong does not deliver.

Kingsong should bloody well send sliders to the batch 1 consumers for free. s20 was delayed 1 year s22 is an unfinished product. Screw Kingsong.
