King William District - Victorian Era Homes - San Antonio Texas - 4K Walking Tour

We've all seen bits and pieces from historical documentaries and photos showing what life was like in the Victorian Era and the 1800s. Now, you can get a real glimpse and feel for yourself. I walked through a restored Victorian Era neighborhood called the King William District in San Antonio Texas. Plenty of visually interesting homes in this neighborhood along with a peaceful portion of the River Walk nearby.

I love King Williams, my favorite part of my beautiful City San Antonio, my husband and I take rides just to see the beautiful mansions and they go all out on their decorations for fiesta week!!! I love it and I'm proud to have been born in this wonderful and historical city😊.Thank you for sharing this beautiful video😍

Great footage of my beautiful city ! King Williams is the oldest district but the other historical districts : Alamo Heights , Monte Vista , Olmos Park , Terrill Hills ., those mansions there would make some of these look like cottages lol

I think you pass the Joske House at the 8:00 point. One night in 1983 I was walking the dog when I saw flames coming from the south dormer window. Fortunately, I was able to report it in time and the fire dept. put it out. The fire chief told me said that they probably wouldn't have been able to save the house if i had happened by fifteen minutes later.

@@MellowManWalks Julia Cauthorn, who lived nearby in the Giles House and owned the Joske Mansion, thought the fire was started by the tenants welding in the attic. The fire must've started a little after midnight on July 5th, leading me to think it may have been caused by fireworks.
