It's never one reason for systemic failure. Budget cuts in policing, not enough funding for enough detectives, so they prioritize cases. The higher the profile, the more public outcry, the more likelihood that it will get solved. I do believe bias and systemic bias are also to blame. Von was a kid that had a admittedly tough life and went through a lot of struggles but at the end of the day never adapted or realized the oppourtunity that he had. I like some of his songs but he is actually an evil person and that lifestyle never lasts long. You live by the gun, you die by the gun. I think whats sad is that deep down all of that trauma and darkness was just apart of him and he wanted to go out the same way he lived because thats all he knew. Truely terrible shit and whats wrose is that there are thousands of him living and doing the same thing in the same place that he came from. Had he not died he would probably be spending life in jail by now, like I said im a fan of some of his music but its honestly net negative with these dudes when you zoom out.
