I think Envy was lying about his involvement with Flipping NJ and Flip to Dow. In my opinion, anyone who was investing the money was investing it with Cesar not DJ Envy. DJ Envy was only a partner to promote the investment, however that's where his involvement stops. All the other sales pitches Envy said on air or on youtube were to try to reel potential investors in to make them feel like they were investing with both him and Cesar. THe problem is he was receiving kick backs from Cesar for the promotional resources. WHich explains why DJ Envy says he never took anymore because he didn't! He let Cesar do all the scamming and he took a promotional fee on the backend. Envy is liable because once he started to learn that Cesar wasn't paying money to the investors he didn't say anything because his kick backs were too good.

I think both Envy and the broadcast company will enter civil settlements. It is much harder to prove criminal guilt and intention to enter a scheme to defraud, than to simply show civil liability for harm. It’s very easy and that’s why they will settle. Everyone can say they would not have invested “but for” the endorsement of Envy and the broadcast company. You don’t think someone who’s on a huge radio program would be a scammer, so it gave what’s called “transfer credibility” and also exposed millions of people to the scammer’s advertising. Envy was literally paid for his support/ endorsement, so that implicates federal consumer regulations, too. The FCC, DOJ, NYAG and many other agencies could be involved
