Kingaroy is a rural town and locality in the South Burnett Region, Queensland, Australia. The town is situated on the junction of the D'Aguilar and the Bunya Highways, 218 kilometres north-west of the state capital Brisbane and 141 kilometres south west of Gympie. As at June 2018, Kingaroy had a population of 10,398.

Its nice and quiet little town after spending time in Meth Central of SE Queensland (Toowoomba). Feels good not having to worry about car jackings, home invasions, junkies shooting up in the street or your house being broken into which are common Toowoomba things

@@aussiedrives-4KAround two decades in that Tbar place, crime was always high when I first got there yet always under reported. Its like Townsville with less cars being stolen, a shame as it was my home town and high rental prices and and crime levels through the roof its ruined. The beat up about youth crime there is overrated to a extent as its all sorts of age groups being criminal. the countryside is so quiet and peaceful . The other year toowoomba was rated no.6 for in Australia for crime rates. Knew a few people that came brissy and left as they said the rime rate where they lived in Brissy wasn't as bad.

Such a shame. It's amazing when you think about it, large cities like Brisbane etc... are usually worse. But then again Murgon has an amazing crime rate as well and it only has a population of 2,378 @@sten4982
