Incredible show!! Think of Season 1 as an extended pilot for the entire series, it's still very good but the show really finds it's feet in the 2nd season onwards. One of the best UK shows 🙌

As others have said, this show grows on you. The first season is a little slow and awkward, but by season 2/3 they really hit their stride. Looking forward to going on the journey with you!

I have rewatched peep show in its entirety 3 times whilst watching Americans react to it. And I love peep show and king boomers reactions so much that I’m ready to do it all over again. You won’t be disappointed it’s absolutely brilliant

The first series experiments with the POV and it's a bit jarring, but they rectify this from season 2 and improve it. But this is one of the funniest UK comedies for reasons I can't say for spoiling. The humour can be very dry and dark, but it's never too extreme and always stays on the right side of fun. You'll really enjoy this one once you get past the initial camera tech feel of season 1 that improves afterwards.

Happy you're doing this! As others have said, it genuinely gets a lot better after every episode - I personally do not particularly like the first episode but it improves exponentially even towards the end of the season. Hope you stick with it for at least another one/two more eps after this one :)

Glad you got round to watching it! As a fan of inbetweeners I think you’ll really enjoy it. This is really just a pilot episode. Takes a bit of time to understand the characters etc but it gets better and better every season. Mitchell and Web are one of the best comedy duos in the UK. This is what made them famous.

If you loved inbetweeners- I think you'll love Peepshow- it's like the inbetweeners with adults but from a POV perspective- later characters really take it into even more dysfunctional directions!

Yes! Finally! The greatest British comedy IMO! Please bring the queen into this! The humor is very dry, and can be subtle at times, but if you give it a few episodes, you'll see the genius of it. This is the show that made David Mitchell famous.

I don't think you will enjoy Peep Show quite as much as Inbetweeners, it's definitely not so outrageous, but that being said it is a PHENOMENAL show. It's a show you end up rewatching start to finish every few years, and is one of the MOST quotable shows ever. It's very British in it's humour, in a different way to the inbetweeners, so I'm excited to see how that translates for Y'all Yanks. If you enjoy this you would LOVE That Mitchel and Webb look. Same two people, flawless chemistry. Much love

Yep... it's Mr. Mitchell. You have to watch all of them. There were 9 series, but only 6 episodes in each series. Thankfully, the series is constantly repeated here in the U.K., as I missed the odd episode in the past.

This show is a proper cult classic, by which I mean it never gained mainstream popularity ever, and it's viewing figures have always been relatively low, in fact it owed it's longevity (it ran for 9 series) to DVD sales which stopped it getting cancelled quite early on, not many people loved this show off the bat, a lot were put off my the POV shooting style, but those of us who stuck with it were greatly rewarded as once you get your head around it, and meet all the main cast properly, it's a real gem of a show, one of my all-time favourites, the relationship of the two main protagonists is completely toxic, that becomes quite a key part of the entire show, they'd both have been better off if they'd never met, but they're stuck with each other!

Agree with everything you’ve said except I wouldn’t say their relationship is toxic! They might not be good for each other at times but that’s not the right word at all. Suggests they’re against each other! Haha. They love each other really. That’s quite clear early on. Also partly why I think this show is such a good example of how British people often show that by taking the piss. They’re actually pretty complimentary though I’d say. Without Mark, Jeremy would go off the rails. Without Jeremy, Mark would be playing with action figures
