Hi, love the channel. Couple thoughts on the matter. When we heard the rumors of it closing forever our group believed it but also didn't want to believe it because scheduling conflicts wouldn't be able to allow us to get our final rides on ka sadly. As for the no announcement closure having to do with a ride that may not be open, well to put it simply they don't care. The park would handle that case by case as they always do. Cedar point sold gold passes advertising TT2 all summer long. They never pulled the plug on the TT2 ad knowing it would be closed.

Im glad my daughter and i went to GA this past august .Ka was awesome but rough and rattley,as sad as it is i see why they are getting rid of it.

Honesty this was a really hard pill for all of us coaster fans to swallow but it needed to happen because this park needs attention with its dropping attendance numbers and being someone who goes to this park frequently it is in desperate need of attention and it’s good to see that this new Six Flags is finally giving it some since this is going to be one of their top performers behind cedar point but with this new for 2026 record breaking launch coaster it better carry the same level of theming and immersion Ka gave all of us since that was never a project built off money it was built off passion and ambition but if this park gets some cheap premier launch with comfort collars Six Flags can kiss their precious Great Adventure goodbye 👋

There's A LOT more track for them to sell off than with the Maverick heart line roll. I bet they could offset a big chunk of the replacement ride by selling of slices of track.

even after knowing of the indefinite closure, reading this title made my stomach drop just like all of the people who rode this monstrosity. although i never experienced it, im sure it was a unforgettable experience and i am absolutely gutted that i was never able to ride, with that being said, i hope the park has a good plan for the new “record breaking launch coaster” coming in 2026. although i don’t think it will ever be as iconic as ka, i do trust six flags to deliver.

i was going for this year to the east coast to ride this but unfortunately this happened. Growing up I had always wanted to ride this, it was the one coaster even people on the west coast knew about and knowing now that I started pursuing theme park travel too late makes a east coast coaster trip sour to me. ill probably go mid east this year and then most likely south to Texas and Florida in 2026 unless the replacement is actually good which I have my doubts.

Whatever new ride is coming in 2026, it is going to be NUTS. I think that it will have the fastest launch in the world, and (potentially) the tallest inversion in the world. They canNOT replace this with anything under at least 250 feet.

Fair, and definitely not against you in that line of thinking either. Personally I get why looking at the cost to operate it. Enthusiasts are important and I won’t take that away from anyone, we do impact the bottom line at parks in ways but I feel like Great Adventure will be doing okay in 5 years again. If they add say a reliable giga open most times and a launch coaster, i’d say thats an upgrade over green lantern and an always down when you visit kingda ka. Just how i’m looking at it, and I totally see the sadness and confusion for the closing of the ride. Didnt want to come off as i’m against anyone, i get the point the other side is making and its all fair and valid. The park decisions have been questionable
