Yes, don't try and be a knight, it gets soo fucking easy and boring. Try playing as a sneaky character with light armour. Combat is boring and predictable anyway, especially as a full plated knight.

I don't understand the hate for this game. Skyrim was so buggy when this came out. This game is getting the bugs fixed (even though they're not that bad). The reviewers are lazy to realize they have to practice like real life to get good at swordsmanship and archery. You even have to learn to read. The game is just to much fun once you understand it.

i've had a few graphical glitches mainly with metallic surfaces when looking at your character when browsing inventory and one flat out crash during 25 hours of gameplay... i'd say thats pretty good.

You almost never need food in this game, unless you're going out in the world for longer than a day and don't plan on going into a town. They have endless pots throughout all cities. Eating from them almost completely replenishes your hunger meter. Dried food is the only food you need in your inventory.

Chronic_Villain i am playing in hardcore mode now and here you can still eat from the pots but they dont have any effect anymore. So now you have to think more thoroughly about your basic needs

If you get the dustbin perk, you never have to worry about food going bad. I tend to have too much food after that, because I never throw bad food away.

I always have this fantasy of never looking anything up & learning every single thing about a game by actually playing it. Then after a couple hours in shit goes left, end up getting wrecked by everything & everybody you come across, an eventually end up whipping out the damn phone for internet support. Back in my ps2 days before I even had Internet it was either learn on your own, ask somebody you know in real life (who usually suck even more than you), or quit playing entirely lmfao

A very nice food that I find is Smoked Sausage It’s cheap. It lasts forever if stored via horse saddlebags, and it’s very nourishing. You can find them at ale houses. I believe all alejouses have them in stock but if not, the one in Rattay definitely does. Key part to remember is, keep them stored with your horse unless you are actively eating.

Tip, hunt. Hunting raises bow (if thats what you use), 1 large animal such as deer or boar can give you over a hundred pounds of meat, meat is a premium so selling a single piece is easy a double digit thing, and its easy to launder (as its illegal to hunt) just cook the meat and its instantly no longer stolen. Best part you usually find the animals in packs (especially deer) so you can get easily 5k+ money worth of meat if you wanted. Bought a fully equipped lvl 5 horse with best equipment just with meat money.

And if you get your hound master level up you can get your mutt to do hunting as well. And he brings his catch back. So you got animals being hunted at the same time.

Played it since day one and have to say I haven't experienced a single bug/glitch or crash, maybe I've been lucky IDK. A good tip is stay with a less powerful bow, even if your strength is fairly high, eg- if your strength is 12 use a bow that requires around 6, it will wave about a lot less than a bow needing 10 or 11 strength

I play on console. Although it is not optimum, I have almost never used a Savior Schnapps, and rarely a bed to "sleep and save". Most often I just "save and exit to menu"; a little tedious, yes, however if you're saving because of an action you're about to do (lockpicking, pickpocketing, stealth, etc.) goes well, then all you have to do is choose "continue" at the menu screen, rather than quitting the game and reloading from scratch. "Save and quit to menu" followed by "continue" is a lot shorter than having to restart the game, and eventually becomes second nature. Once your skills improve and you start getting peeks, then you'll use this method less often for the mundane tasks of lockpicking/pickpocketing, although it's still a good idea to save before/ after kiling several mobs.

That's Deep Silvers fault they doubled the price if i'm not mistaken. And incomplete nagh maybe half baked but remember this is a indie game in everything but price. Real Triple A devs with far bigger budgets delivered crappier and more buggy games then this. Honestly I wouldn't worry too much about food. In my current playthrough, I had no need for a lot of food so I ended up selling most of it before it got bad. You can easily eat soup at camps or in homes which has a high nutrition value for free (actually I'm often debuffed with the pig icon...).

Installing that and jumping straight into hc mode was probably one if the best gaming time i get in long time :D At first that sving really bothered me, but i like that mechanism as you will usually think twice before you do something requiring saviour schnapps. On the bugs - its all nicely fixed rn- only thing i we noticed in about 200hrs was sometime glitchign layers of clothes and levitating while fighting in some lush vegetation :D

I just start playing this game because it was on sale on steam for $8.99. WOw what an experience 15 hours in. I guess all the bug was patched and the game now run super smooth in 2022

I did same thing, frustrating as heck to start with, then it was far too easy. So then I decided to challenge myself by restarting and never join the service of radzig. Much more challenging without master strike, perfect block or riposte. Possible though after plucking over 9000 herbs, I managed to get buff and can actually fight my way through some situations… no way near as OP though.

Here is a valuable tip when it comes to identifying enemies, with bandits they come in two flavors, freshies and thugs, freshies are barely wearing anything, weapons that arent worth much, they are pitiful and not that skilled, but do not let their numbers fool you. Thugs are what I refer to more familiar bandits who have armor. When it comes to fighting, its said moving is important, this is wrong, moving is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Also, the Cumens are speaking real hungarian so if you know hungarian, you may hear some actual dialogue.

Three "bugs" I've encountered, although I don't know if some can legitimately be called that: (1.) Sometimes when crouching/moving on a hill with bushes, you can get stuck under the edge. (2.) If you jump on a bush, you might get stuck in an inaccessible area from where you're unable to jump or move out. (3.) When astride a horse, do not drop "hundreds" of items from inventory, as rather than dropping to the ground they will stack over your head and prevent movement (fast travelling doesn't help either, for although you can fast travel, upon reaching your destination you're unable to dismount or move.

I have KC:D on the PS4PRO. After THE BIG PATCH was released I have not seen any bug / crash. Only pain in the ass: loading / saving time - sometimes the screen goes dark for a few seconds.

Maybe I'm lucky but I haven't really experienced many bugs. The only one I had that was annoying (cuz I hadn't saved in a bit) was when Henry just randomly flew up into the sky getting off his horse so when I paused the game and then un-paused, the gravity restarted and he fell down and died :'( . Otherwise than that, I love this game. I took a while to get good at archery but now I'm snipping mofos in the eyes without fighting anyone really. I have practiced archery in real life and I can say that the archery in the game is pretty close to realistic as you can get (with a slight tendency to drag right though (aka always aim a bit more to the left than you think you should need to)). I'm happy I bough the game :)

Storing food in the saddlebag of your horse doesn't make it go bad. Just hunt a few animals, cook the food and store it at your horse. Take out food whenever needed

Lmao saving is really easy and free do it as many times as you want consol or pc. Its called save and exit dun dun dunnnn save and load as much as you want save your gold and time takes bout 2 mins to exit save and log back in for anyone who dosent have pc/mod (consol) this is very useful.

FrostFire 1987 Haha no problem mate busy with it myself i find it quite easy. Practice with Cap Reinard ( you'll meet him in Rattay he's a master fighter and teaches you all the good moves ) and if you want to have a great boon search Best sword. There is a hidden sword by far the best in the game the treasure map doesn't exist yet ( bug igz ) but you can find it if you follow the video. If properly leveled it basically one hit kills everything GG EZ WP.

Why couldn't they just make the combat system simple, just like Skyrim??!!! No matter how much you try to make it "realistic", it's still a game and you play it with mouse and keyboard!!
