Another good tip.After the Baptism of Fire quest you can do the Hanekin Hare sidequest that results in you being made Master Huntsman of Talmberg. You get a house and a series of order for the Castle. Enriches the hunting lifestyle and means that your not techincally a poacher anymore

Actually I think it works on anything, as long as it's cooked before you put it on your horse, you're good. Try it with the pig behind Peshick's Mill. I shot a hare with a arrow, cooked him, put him on the horse, and he stayed good.

Will you analyze the use of shield? There's no directional blockage using weapon blocks, then is there any advantages using a shield? What the defense stat means on weapons and shields?

If you want to hunt roes, just go with the sword instead. It's faster and easier than using a hunting bow.

T OG I've been waiting for this,...1. it has to be a pig a boar or Red deer. 2. Shoot it with a arrow. 3. Cook it. 4 . Stash it on your horse and it will STAY PRESERVED. Now you're sacrificing carry weight for red deer meat for you and Mutt....but you can nibble off 50 cooked boar meat for a while.

Again, arrows only. No dog kills, other weapon kills, or small game. Shoot it, Cook it, stash and sell the rest. and you'll have red deer venison for a week.

....and still noone realizes that Hunting from a Horse is quite viable for some Game - it even is to be done that Way. Also, use the highest Damage Bow you have - or better, the one with the best Multiplicator used on that Damage. Mounted it is really easy to hunt Roe as Roes are very weak in HP. Boar is highest in HP and also "Armor" - so you need a High Damage Bow with high-Damage Bows. Deer is having good HP, so maybe you can not kill them at Start with a weaker midlevel Bow and Hunting Arrows. But as Soon you have a better Bow and a Skill of around 5 to 8 you can use the lower-priced Hunting Arrows.
