That's because it is an older video. In later patches the combat system was hardened and they now gang up on you all at once. Wasn't like that in earlier versions when this video was made.

Hardcore mode makes it so much fun and challenging, i absolutely love the combat now, it forces you to stay on the defensive and counter attack more often because you'll get fucked if you don't

I was super low level just after the first training with bernhard when I rode on a stolen horse to skalitz and ran into a crew of bandits fighting several guards in the destroyed city. They all killed each other until one bandit was left. it was impossible to defeat him because my low level weapon and arrows did zero damage. Anyhow I managed to lure him away and loot the dead. Stored it in the old homes chest and kept running back and forth between skalitz and talmberg to get all the loot home. I got the probably best cuirass and some very high level armor that way before I even owned a horse and with agility and strenght at 3 and 4 still.. lol. Turned into a all show no bite knight real quick and bought a warhorse. Using the horse as the advantage in every fight to make enemies follow me and get separated from their group so I can 1 on 1 them and also found a mace so now I can defeat most foes even with no combos learned yet. But groups heck no, only by separating them

I'm console too , i killed 3 nurembelgian bandits in one battle , with sheba sword and heavily arms . I gotta say , in the new patch , you're kinda fucked up if wearing light armor while encounted well-arms bandit . They have increased the AI , the wealth of these bandits , so becareful out there , the most well arms gang has 7 dudes and that was an end real fast !

Sadly I don't remember what level I was there and nope my hp was quite low...they do hurt a lot. I've started wearing mail armour and they still can easily kick my ass fi the surround me. I have to be mindful about my surroundings now which is awesome.

Yeah it's much harder to face enemies with armor if you're using a sword because it doesnt have the blunt, bashing damage that the maces do

First time i played this i thought this game is bullsh*t because the combat is really hard. Then i learn the masterstrike. I started to enjoy the game. I went from ran away from bandit to searching their camp so i could kill them for fun. The only thing missing in this game is decapitation.

@@personcoffey8037 First 2 guys. He's sparing with one when the second is standing behind him and does nothing. When I'm in that situation I get fucked in the back by them at the same time. Then again, he fights the full plate dude, when shield/hammer watches, again BEHIND him and attacks only when he finishes the fight who he then fights for 2 minutes straight when the archer just watches there and probably jacks off. Also, he didn't separate the group at all. yes he lured the first ones out, but the rest just watched like idiots and came one at the time, he was fighting at the same place the wole time, tell me how he separated them. This does not happen to me. If I fight multiple enemies I get ganged up by them, when I'm fighting one of them I get surrounded and bashed from every direction. If I try to back up I get whacked by one of them in the back and in that moment, I'm running out of stamina and can't defend multiple blows at once. I'm good in meelee in KC, but I have to keep all enemies in one line, otherwise they do that shit

wow can't beleive how they come in 1 at a time, this was lucky. They usually 3-4v1 off the bat. I can usually get 1 out with the bow, and maybe kite 1 guy for a bit.

Sasau camp I just did that on hardcore mode 2 seconds ago and wanted to see if anyone else beat it. It was so fun I actually ran up and hacked apart one guy and with my perks I got blood lust then backed up into the open field defended blocks threw a few hits and then the mob hit one guy until he died and I was left with 4 people one guy took up to archery and missed every shot and maybe even hit my enemy then I killed two and the rest of the mob following behind and shooting arrows ran away. I killed the last guy and then looted the 3 who ran came back I tried to hunt them down with my axe and got them all got about 4 thousand grochen out of it

1vX is unreasonably artificially difficult in this game. Even in full plate armor, you can't initiate a single hit if a random-ass fly hits you. It's such bullshit. There's a reason Dark Souls had the idea of poise that let you be uninterrupted if you had decent armor. In KCD, even if you are a Golem or a Mountain, a Random-ass fly can still stop you from doing anything. And the Lock-on system is the worst in the Universe. Never seen a game with such a bad Lock-on system. Not only is it slow to change the target, it also does everything in its power to not let you change the target.

why tf are those bandits so chill in hardcore mode? whenever i come across multiple enemies they just surround me and run behind me whenever im locked onto a different enemy. even with my warfare swordsmanship and defence is high in level its still a huge pain in the ass to even fight more than 2 opponents.

I don't understand, when I fight multiple people, some of the bandits literally run up to me in my face and start walking around me, I can't lock on to them and they don't even attack. I don't know what the AI thinks it's doing when they're literally on me, trying to run into me. It's so annoying

Same. Normally all the enemies rush at you all at once and surround you, even if you keep moving back to try and separate them. Here it's almost like they wait patiently for one duel to end before they start attacking. Something seems rather fishy, lol.

This is just lucky because honestly if I would have been doing this the moment I locked up with the dude to dude with the mace would have been a cave in my skull in you just get lucky because your guy just stand still and waits for you to finish combat with the first dude before engaging you I mean there's got to be a way to break engagement from one person and engage another person and I'm just not seeing it and if there's not then you just can't let yourself get surrounded because you're fucked no matter what this is where a bloody Skyrim companion would have actually come in handy

Use feint attack when their change stance, it's all about the right timing, just keep practice at captain bernard. Remember, don't just spam feint attack, wait until they're change stance

If I see this video I see pure skill. It takes about 20 - 30 hours of only fighting to get to this level. But I see your point. In the beginning when he fought two enemies at the same time one of them didn't help his comrade. If you single out one weak enemy for only 5 seconds you may defeat him and then continue on. But you need a lot of concentration.

How can you call that fighting multiple enemies.. it's a misleading title. You fight them one at a time. What often happens (at least in my game) is that they all attack at once. And then you could call it "fighting multiple enemies".. and it's what I expected to see.

Protip my dudes, go kill the least armored first, or if their face is not covered, stab it. Dealing with less attackers is always better than dealing with one well armed one.

Only gripe with this games intended mechanics is that every NPC in the game is a master at weapon grappling and all its arts for no reason and just spams it. To top it off worse I played through this game three times without riposte because Captain Bernards training is bugged for me and doesn't unlock the skill at all.

You have some kind of mod on, because THEY are not attacking you from behind and instead are waiting their turn patiently, when I fight opponents I get raped from all sides and they swing me around the place and discombobulate me.

One annoying thing about the way this system simulates combat is that you don't get to have a neck that enables you to look at things without having to turn your entire body. Another annoying thing, at least for lefties like me, is that you are forced to play as a right-handed character.

That was a master strike. It just happens automatically when you block the strike as soon as the green shield appears (this is hardcore mode so you don't get the green shield, you just have to get the timing right)

There are two ways to finish them off. If they are not armored, then stab the head if you don't have a lot of time. If they are armored, go for a swing with a mace. The second way, if you have time, grab your best bow and arrow combo, and take your time lining up a headshot. Quick and clean

i could take unlimited people at once on a horse with a bow, or 3-4 on my feet....they just don't deal damage until they take your stamina, 2 shots to the head kills most of them

KCD is more polished and feels better, when I played Mordhau (I'm a noob), but it pissed me off that everyone is using the great sword and are just wildly swinging and turning, sprinting, ducking while fighting...really breaks the immersion for me, also the fact that it doesn't matter what armour you're wearing some weapons just one/two shot you. Great sword vs plate is ridiculous. Also the greatsword having longer reach than the halberd is weird.

mordhau is just so fluid and fun though, what about a merger between the armour systems in kcd and the combat and weapon variety (with some rebalancing). I haaaate how kcd slows down combat for perfect blocks. Combat feels like a MINIGAME???

This is not really 1vs2+ at same time....you just got lucky when you finish 1 quickly enough that second one didn't attack...This whole combat system is a mess, they try to make it realistic but lock-on thing is a big B, you can't look around freely, it is no fun at all when keep getting owned by 2+ enemies!

A trick I used when I platinumed the game, get them to chase you and eventually they stop running,turn around and walk back. If you have a high sneak and strength you can knocked out and kill em that way.

Also, an easy combat move is to clinch and knock em back and quickly strike the top of there head. If you have the head cracker perk it’s possible to have a higher chance of knocking them out that way. Use this tactic to win the tournament!!!!
