Manowar will forever be remembered as the forefathers of power metal, right next to Helloween. Every power metal band can be traced back to the speed metal origins and melodic arrangements of Helloween, or the traditional heavy metal inspired aggressive nature of Manowar. They are kings of their genre, gods of their craft, and legends that will live on for many decades of music. Thank you for covering one of my favorite bands of all time!

@ovefrank82242 жыл бұрын
"The Triumph of Steel" is my favourite Manowar Album by a longshot. "Metal Warriors" is the pure incapsulation of Manowar and their style. "Master of the Wind" is a touching hymn that actually holds the power to ease the pain caused by death - be it the death of loved ones or your own end coming closer. It helped me processing the death of my mother and my grandparents. "Achilles Agony and Ecstasy in eight Parts" might be an ambitious project but that actually works. The epic style of both the music and the lyrics, changing from far and agressive to slow and melancholic truly incapsulate the spirit of Homers writing. Listening to the song as a child really got me more and more into Homers work, giving me the motivation to actually read the Illiad and the Odyssey, not the easiest pieces of Literature for a 12 year old. ;) Now in my late 20ies I i've got my Masters Degree in the Classics (Ancient History, Archeology and classic Philology) and work on my PHD. I f***ing love this Album!
