I'm gonna be honest. When I first played this part on the PS2 at the young age that i was, I was horrified. Plus, he destroyed me in less than a minute, because I didn't comprehend that all I had to do was mash the triangle button. So everytime I wanted to play the game and went to the part where you choose the sword, staff and shield, I would quit the game, afraid to fight the boss. Now, years later, I found 2.5 on the PS3, and when i went to this part after all those years, I felt the familiar dread, but once I found out to press that triangle button, it amazed me how simple it was. So after beating him, the rest of the game was completely new territory for me.

Asaura 4500 Well we have heartless like the darkside that is also huge but that I think has to do with the darkness itself. I think Jiminy's Journal lists it as a nobody that invaded or attacked him and not as a representation.

Ants can take falls at terminal velocities like it's nothing; So I'd assume that fall on a twilight thorn would be most damaging, specially considering it is consistence wasn't that tough to begin with.

They put the latest Disney movies and removes every final fantasy characters. Because they don't care about the fans. They care about bringing new people to the franchise, they're younger and most of them didn't play final fantasy games that were in old gen consoles. I’m on proud mode right now and this thing has kicked my ass 4 times 😭 I picked the shield so idk if that’ll help with the damage he gives me but man. My first boss fight in any kingdom hearts game and I’m already struggling like this. Embarrassing 💀 Edit: before my 6th try I found out you can go back to the previous room and save. Everytime I came back the enemies respawned so I grind for a bit. Beat all of them, go back and save, and repeat until I hit level 7 (was lvl 2). My strength + defense was increased and I had more potions to use and gained a new ability that helps improve how items work by 50%. So yeah I was pretty much set 💆🏾‍♀️only used 1 potion during the fight and finished the guy pretty easily.

Am I the only one who wish Darksider was just as interesting and fun to fight as the Twilight Thorn. We only fight this guy once and in this fight you learn how to do reaction commands. He moves around the area like a horror film monster and he can literally flip the area if he feels like it. What can Darksider do I'm going to punch the ground very slowly so you can Dodge it easily. Oh my dark balls of energy you can just hit those back at me.

Analysis is that much like that giant heartless Sora fights in his Station level, this is Roxas fighting his "anti" form for control of his "heart", but since Roxas is in Sora's Station, it'll affect Sora as well if he loses. Whe he does win, the excess darkness that made up the anti-nobody form attempt to infect the tired Roxas. Naminé, also in connection to Sora's heart, sensed this and is able to help him through the social link feature they flesh out later
