This was honestly kinda terrifying as a kid: dark as pitch out, looking for your two best friends in the middle of a storm, while being swarmed by a seeming invincible horde of what you would have could only appear in your nightmares

@@wavestation999 Hollow Bastion is pretty creepy, and that final boss fight in the almost pitch black room to get donald and/or goofy back from ansem was wild. The heartless emblem on the floor and the yellow eyes of the heartless was pretty much all you could see. KH1 is honestly a great game, haters be damned.

This moment on Destiny Islands solidified the series as one of my favorites of all time. This is the night that Xehanort, Ansem SoD, Aqua, Terra, and Ventus have been waiting so long for; the next Keyblade wielder will surface and decide the fate of all worlds. Riku was originally chosen to be the child of destiny, but chose to open the keyhole with Ansem and flood his home with darkness, while Ansem takes Kairi's heart. Sora emerges from his home and notices that Kairi and Riku's boats are prepared for the journey, but his is nowhere to be found. After a fateful encounter with his best friend knee-deep in the throes of darkness, Sora's boat comes sailing in as the Keyblade and chooses his heart over Riku's. The stage has been set for one of my favorite stories of all time, and it still gives me goosebumps.

Yes that moment when you have the faith of the entire universe in your hands is amazing. What moved me most was when kairi tries to hug sora but she vanishes and he then searches for his beloved princess who he promised would protect and be with till the end. I just find this game so passionate and extraordinary that is just not what I would consider a video game but more of a very unique and lovely story that has all that you would love in an adventure.

I remember when I first played KH, and the storm came to Destiny Islands, the heartless appeared and this song was playing. It was so intense, fast passed song! I was running around hopeless with a wooden sword full of anxiety lol

I’m so happy Sora is in smash, and this OG song. I can’t explain the feels I can as a kid playing kh and hearing this, when you’re on destiny island being consumed by the darkness. I remember just staying there and fighting the heartless and running around in awe with the atmosphere this song brought to the game.

You can hear it sometimes in kh3 but it's not the same. Also at the beginning of traverse town it plays but after the first boss it gets replaced with the actual combat song of traverse town.

Man what memories that this reminds me of I mean it just brings me back 11 years ago. I feel like I am in an open world fighting never ending darkness for eternity I find my love but with this music I can literally fight till the end of times. I mean the passion this music gives you is just unexplainable you just feel it inside and your brain makes it motivate you to do anything. Amazing composed piece by an amazing artist of the beauty we call music that has no meaning just like life but it can be given a meaning and a use by the person who wishes to do so. When I die I would want to here this piece as I am falling into oblivion for eternity but with peace and tranquility.
