+K Damon Well Pirates have a large variety of weapons at their disposal that would be appropriate for the time, but as for Clayton his main weapon was that shotgun and a machete, so it really wouldn't have made sense if he didn't have those weapons during the boss battle.

Another interesting fact, when Tetsuya Nomura heard that Square Enix wants to make Kingdom Hearts 3, he quit making Final Fantasy 15 as it was 75% complete. You gotta admit, you gotta respect the man for being devoted to the franchise. He directed all of them. That's pretty hardcore.

That's not true. Nomura was forced to leave behind Final Fantasy 15 because Square Enix wanted him to work on games like Kingdom Hearts 3 and the Final Fantasy 7 remake. If Nomura had his way, then he wouldn't have started working on KH3 until FF15 was finished

In my opinion, I'd rather KH3 exclude a Star Wars world, and at least wait until after KH3 to make a spin off that features elements from Star Wars and Marvel. Star Wars and Marvel are just too big to put into KH, and they would hog up too much which would be more deserving for actual Disney licenses. If anything, I wouldn't mind having KH3 feature little shout outs to the series, like a lightsabor keyblade, a Captain America Shield for Goofy, Thor's Hammer for Donald, or a secret boss fight against Darth Vader or Darth Maul, but please just stick with pure Disney and possibly Pixar for KH3.

+SpongicX More worlds is more content, and more content is always good. They've already confirmed a bunch of Disney movies, including alot of recent ones, so even if they did add those worlds they're not detracting from the Disney side at all. But yes, a bonus boss fight with Darth Vader is probably the safest bet for what will actually be in the game, presumably with a lightsaber keyblade as a reward.

The attack style and moves used by the secret boss in the black robe in Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix are the same as Xemnas, the final boss of Kingdom Hearts II, this trend of using the final boss of a future game as a secret boss was later repeated in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep when the secret boss of THAT game used attacks like those of Young Xehanort, the final boss of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix did something similar with the fight against The Lingering Will, a representation of the playable character Terra from Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.

I like how people on KH videos say they don't understand the plot cause it is confusing, which it is for newcomers. And then fans tell the entire story in hopes to fill them in, good on them they're showing an interest may as well help them. But when you begin reading it you see how confusing the plot actually is and only understand it because you played the games since the beginnings and followed every secret, easter egg and story that the games gave us.

agree. even re:coded was somewhat important to the story. It showed Sora (or a clone of him) that he needs to deal with being "hurt". Every keyblade wielder experienced intense emotional pain and sora himself never experienced that. He was always happy-go-lucky even when trying to find riku and kairi. DDD however showed that the real sora couldnt deal with that emotional pain brought forth by roxas, terra, ventus, and aqua

+AzureRoxe The fact that Sora is less special than Riku has literally been a crucial plot point from the very first game. Riku was the one originally chosen to wield the keyblade, Riku was the one Terra initially chose to be his successor, and Riku was initially the one Xehanort wanted to become his last dark incarnation. The whole twist of DDD was that Sora was literally just a back up plan. The point isn't that Sora is more special than Riku, or more competent, it's that at the end of the day he's more determined and has more heart. A big trope in Japanese story telling is someone who works hard and has strong will overcoming someone who has natural born talent. You see it all the time, with Dragon Ball Z probably being one of the most famous examples. Goku isn't that special, he's a low born warrior, and his rival, Vegeta, is an elite saiyan warrior who's naturally better than him in every way. However the reason Goku beats out Vegeta every time is because Goku works harder, because he has more heart and determination, and because he doesn't rest on his current strength but instead continuously fights to surpass his limits. Those are the kinds of qualities that make Sora the protagonist rather than Riku. Riku, while physically strong and capable, has a weak will, which allows him to be manipulated and to fall to temptations easily, as seen in KH1. He literally had everything handed to him, thus he expects himself to be better by default, and never makes an attempt to better himself through his own actions. He was handed the rights to the keyblade by Terra, he was handed the power of darkness by Maleficent and Ansem, and when confronted by someone stronger than himself (like when he fights Roxas) instead of using his own power he resorts to relying on strength gained by someone else, power he hasn't actually earned. By KH2 he's seen the error of this mentality, and seeks to change that, but in the process he succumbs to another weakness: guilt and self doubt. Because he doubts himself he distances himself from those close to him, causing unneeded hardship in the process. Despite trying to control the power of darkness, he doesn't trust himself, and thus doesn't trust those around him. He's making a turn for the better, but his view of things is still flawed. By DDD his character finally comes full circle, and he comes to terms with himself, putting his past behind him and finally moving forward using his own strength. This growth is why Riku finally becomes a main playable character in DDD, and why he becomes a master, because his story ark is coming full circle. He know has the wisdom, maturity, and strength to stand on his own, while still accepting those around them and relying on them when needed. Riku's story is one that only really works because he's a side character, sure he's the most important side character, but if you played as him for the entire series then a lot of his ark would be lost. Similarly if suddenly the plot of the story shifted to focus mainly on Riku then that would completely derail the themes established throughout the story. The whole time Riku thought the events of the story should revolve around him, that he should be the most important, to suddenly have it actually all revolve around him after he finally learned the folly of that mentality would completely undo all the characterization he's had so far.

I remember hearing rumors about this game long before I ever played it or saw somebody play it. I remember hearing as a kid that there was a game that you fought monsters while traveling to and from various Disney worlds while fighting along side Disney heroes and battling to defeat Disney villains. The idea could not be any more strange or stupid, but somehow it managed to be more than I could have ever imagined. I get the chills every time I watch or hear anything related to kingdom hearts. It's probably the only game I have actually read deep into the lore and spent countless hours playing to complete every tiny objective (including beating the 1.5 HD remake on each difficulty JUST for the achievement) just for an excuse to continue playing it. People today (especially kids) who are new to the series I don't think can appreciate it as much as I did when I played it as kid when it originally came out. Kingdom Hearts currently stands as the single game series that has caused me time and time again to purchase new hardware JUST to play the game. I bought a GBA, a PSP, a DS, a 3DS, and then a PS3 to replay the PS2 titles (and because of the final mix IN ENGLISH! The only game I've ever imported was the original Japanese games) and now I'm anxiously waiting for the next chapter to come out. I owe a sincere thank you to Square Enix for creating not only a great game, but my absolute favorite game of all time. Thank's Square Enix, I'll always be a fan.

Not necessarily. The concept though is that different worlds exist in the universe, inhabited by different people. Similar to an alternate dimension theory, it isn't hard to believe that normally very different characters (Final Fantasy & Disney) that don't interact, never come into contact with each other until yes, as you say, the worlds come under attack. During the prequels & expanded backstories, you learn this wasn't always the case. Though it is forbidden to travel between worlds, many established characters have done so in the past, so there's a lot of interconnecting stories. It's all complicated but really, some kids want to get out & see places other than their island home. The darkness that exists in nearly every heart manifests itself, drawn to the desires of others & the life force of the island itself. So begins KH 1. Thank god for the HD collections.

For those confused as to why there was censorship despite Disney containing some of that darker material in their own films, it's because the games had to follow the ESRB's rules. People often blame Disney because it's the easy thing to do, without actually rationalizing and understanding how game ratings differ.

Actually, it's incredibly common. Many people regard the majority of the series as just "spin-offs", with KH1 and 2 being the only "main series" games. Despite the fact that a few of these alleged "spin-offs" have about as much content as KH2.

they still can make a cartoon to follow the first story up to 3 to help new fans catch up and also use the scraped concept world's to help bridge new interesting story's, and the scraped mobile game became KH unchained which is awesome!

A series would've been awesome! It would be cool if, with a series, every time Sora goes to a world, it changes the animation to match the world he went to. Though, that we a hassle and would cost a lot of money but it would be cool.
