The remixes have always been super hit and miss for me. He’s a pirate came out great, WTH did they do to The Encounter!? The beat drop now trips 2 inches into a kiddie pool!

Original will always be my goto. I don't mind the remixes, but most songs don't hit the same. That is why I kind of don't like the 1.5/2.5 and instead emulate 1 and 2 for the og songs.

I'd like for you to talk about the differences between Kingdom Hearts II's Darkness of the Unknown (more specifically, Part 2). In my Opinion, the Remaster is a disservice to the Original. Everything I liked about the Original PS2 Version was absent in the Remaster for the most part. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that most of the Music in the Remaster of KH2 was not as good as the Original PS2 Version. If you disagree, that's fine, but that won't stop me from disliking it.

Absolutely agree the final mix version for the darkness of the unknown is significantly different to the ps2 version in a bad way does not hit the same I wish there was an option to change it in the menu

It really depends. An example would be that I mostly prefer the HD versions but I prefer the original PS2 for "Tension Rising".

Thye had to remake this game from scratch as they somehow lost the master copy of KH1. So they had to use a retail copy to reverse engineer the game. Hence why 1.5 is so much different while 2.5 is mostly the same

For which tracks I prefer between the original and HD Remixes, it sometimes depends on the level in question but I do like both tracks with only a few exceptions, I don't really enjoy the original Ps2 release of KH2's rendition of "He's a Pirate" all that much.
