A streamer I watched for a long time played this game as an ironman… many Shepards were lost on Grunts recruitment mission. 😂

The Med Bay upgrade is definitely optional. I always choose it, because then I feel free to choose Renegade options without worrying about Shepard's scarring getting worse. Ultimately, it depends on how much you care about Shepard's appearance, and how Renegade you want to play. I never go full Renegade, so I probably don't need to worry as much as I do, but I have seen playthroughs where Shepard ends up looking like some kind of Frankenstein's monster!

With regards to "completing the game", you've got quite a ways to go. You may have done half of the main story proper, but you still have more than half of the DLC, and at least 2/3 of the character missions (which most players regard as main story in this game), not to mention you've barely scratched the surface of side missions (unless you've been cranking through them offscreen). You're really not in any danger of finishing up any time soon.

I 100% respect your choices with the dialogues, I'm just happy you are keeping up with us commenters, and this leads to plenty of motivation for a future revisit if you want in your own time! (Just keep raising the morality bars as you play, and don't start endgame accidentally by doing the Reaper IFF mission before you feel ready, that one is the point of no return. Besides that, you're totally golden and doing great!) You gotta be among my favorite let's players, alongside the likes of BornlosersGaming and Mapocolops!

Because you can’t swap shoulders in this game, you can only use the right hand rule (weapons peeking around cover on the right) to stay protected in some cases whilst not actually taking cover physically… that means the cover needs to be on your left side to avoid some damage, this is unlike and dps where either side will work. Bioware doesn’t put in shoulder swapping until Mass Effect Andromeda, unfortunately.

Ok just to put your mind at ease and without spoiling: You till have plenty of game left. There is a point of no return, but it's kinda hidden and you can actually mess some stuff up. If you like I can tell you the name of the mission, so you don't accidentally start it. Also, there is an argument to me made to play the arrival dlc after completing the main story. The dlc released after most people had finished the game already. But you do you.

In regards to the med-bay upgrade: commenter would have said it's a waste because its an expensive upgrade that only affects cosmetics in ME2. Specifically it heals your facial scarring instantly as if you'd reached the peak threshold for paragon. There's plenty of resources to collect from missions and planet scanning to get every research upgrade in the game anyway so it's not like you've negatively impacted your gameplay.

Regarding paragon/renegade points … I believe each choice has a set number assigned to it that add up. There is a set number of paragon and renegade points in the game, that being said, you can safely use renegade options without losing paragon if you only have neutral and renegade options available. They same goes if you’re playing a renegade Shep and want to use some paragon responses. Of course you can even just always use neutral options, but you almost never see that. Can also play a “grey Shepard” and just do what you want. Part of the fun for me in replaying is crafting the dialog on my Shep … only feasible once you have seen the responses a few times, but fun in its own way.

Firewalker is a tutorial mission. Don't save it; take 10 minutes and knock it out. Also, Arrival is best done as a post-credits mission for a first time play through (for story purposes).

Medigel/Medpacks always turns into 100 credits if you are full on them, so they are just extra credits you get rewarded if you havent had the need to use your medical kits/Unity in combat.

About your question the "point of no return" will be specified very clearly. So you can do whatever you want and there will be still a lot of adventures and you don't need to worry if you trigger a point of no return, because it will be clearly spoken beforehand. But your not even half of the game.

if you want an Rpg that may ask for skill from you, id say Guild Wars 2 is up your alley, soon after beating the base game, it gets harder, but combat in this game can be complicated to easy (depending on class), you will soon have the learn the basics of how to not to die and how to kill an enemy fast, just expect to die alot. But as much as the story is great, Guild Wars 2 may not be something exciting to record/stream, but that's what a small few would say, I enjoy it, I find it fun and all that, but the base game story is for free, as is the first season (even though its a mess), so do with it wat you will, just play the game on the official launcher, rather through steam, if your interested in less trouble with Gems (currency you buy with irl money and or trade a lot of gold for). You can play through the Story with other players if you so wish but its not required. But if you do decide to make a playthrough, I'm all for seeing it, if not, then it is what it is.

My man, I HIGHLY SUGGEST that you leave the Arrival DLC to the very very end! Even after the final big mission. Trust me on this. Also, while you're in combat, look at the top left of your screen. You will see an ability bar where you can put your most used powers in (like warp) and activate them on the push of a button! Much easier than pausing the game and clicking the ability with the mouse.

Also your focus on Renegade and Paragon points is a little.. Well you dont have to care that much, you can just have fun choose the dialog options you prefer most of the time they lead you down one path anyways. Having to focus on being ''Pure Paragon'' is a little silly to my mind, as I seen another comment on this video.. And well I normally mainly play as Renegade myself, however that doesnt mean I choose to be Renegade all the time, I still do some Paragon interups or options. And it doesnt affect me negatively overall, I dont treat my crew with most renegade options either. So having to be so focused on if you choosing certain options when it comes to such is absolutely not needed.

You schould wake up Grunt -is one of 3 best warriors and teammates in game -especially if you give him his special shotgun .That was wise to open his storage-but be carefull when you be doing his loyalityt mission dont bring Mordin you need really strong team .

Mordin is great ability-wise for that mission, just can be a little squishy. Also this isn’t insanity so you don’t have to be quite as tanky in general.

Lmao what? Renegade options are just practical and ruthless decisions, it’s not about good and evil. Half of renegade options are simply killing an enemy in a cutscene that you are going to kill later in combat anyway.
