i only had one novi star doll as a kid (ali lectric) but honestly they were ahead of their time they need a come back. also can we bring back the music videos? the monster high/bratzilla/novi star MVs were honestly everything

Novi Stars feels like something i would have as a kid (since i was around 5/6 years old). I never had any of them but they just ooze 2010s energy

Novi Stars was an "interesting" doll line, I had a couple of them when they were first released, Una was my favorite character I love how she acted in the show, they're not bad design, and gimmick, wise but the hair quality was atrocious fresh out of the box.

the thing with novi stars is MGA was spending more money than it was making,,, and even though the dolls are pretty cheap they still cost alot to produce. not many families were buying the dolls, and they had a low sale price too. so when MGA wasnt selling novi stars, they decided to discontinue. with the eurasia-exclusive dolls, alot of people think they mightve accidentally sent out more dolls *or* there was more success in europe so the company could continue production there for a short while after it stopped in the u.s. i dont know what else to write .... that was very awkward,, sorry :[

novi stars used to have this game or something similar to a 'virtual world' on their site, but like you could make your own planet and farm on it or something no one seems to really remember that though :/

I never heard of novistars till now but suddenly I just love it all : the concept the aesthetic even the characters (I am a monster high fan too so maybe that plays a part as well )

I sadly got just one of them. I know they are not for everyone, but they were My favest doll line ever. Not only they are aliens , but also each of them had gimmick which is smart Imo.

Honestly, from what I’ve seen and read, Novi Stars kinda sabotaged themselves with a weak story, underwhelming kids doll, snd conflicting themes. Like I get they you want them to be relatable and interested in fashion to sell toys, but that’s about all they talk about. They never really went into any cool alien stuff despite having very sci-fi designs, so alt older kids likely found the story boring and mainstream little kids found the designs too weird- which alienated both parties. Also the cost of the gimmicks often meant less articulation and things you could do with your dolls, which is fine for an adult collector who’s not really playing with their dolls, but I remember their legs not bending being very frustrating as a kid. It didn’t make me want more. I wish they’d get a reboot where they’d drop the gimmicks and put more into their articulation and outfits. I think they’d sell way better then.
