The fact that Voiceplay have a Bass, Baritone, Tenor and Beatboxer who can all sing from C2 up to A4 (fairly easily) in chest voice is just insane!!

Michael Bolton the aka blue eyed soul did the cover. I dont know who sang the animated movie song but they killed it too. Voiceplay just honored both of the former by taking it that step further

For those of you unfamiliar with Voctave, EJ Cardona is with Voctave. If you've never heard Voctave before, you're in for a real treat if you listen to them. EJ takes the lead on "O Come All Ye Faithful" and it sounds like angels singing.

What I love the MOST about this is how seamlessly these amazing acapella singers blend together. Every single one of them is an amazing talent but when you get more than two of them together, (regardless of which 2 or from what group) the sound is just amazing! As a kid I was blessed to be in a family that loved old classic standards that depended on vocals like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, etc. And there was a lot of Doo-Wop we listened to. The vocal talent had to be so above and beyond because studio effects didn't exist yet or were in their infancy. Then we got to the 80s and 90s and had a lot of synth and remix. But there were still groups that everyone loved (without being able to articulate exactly WHY they loved them) who had that vocal gift. Could sing without instruments, could sing without the microphones and still sounded great, live. I say all that to say this: Thank God for the resurgent interest in singing as an ART and not just a CRAFT. Thank God for groups that explore what is possible just with the voices they were given and the creativity in their minds and hearts.

This song and this movie are highly underrated. One of my favorites. I enjoyed this very much, but still my all time favorite version of this was by BYU's Vocal Point with the Boys Choir. It's a few years old now but still holds as my number one cover.

I gotta say, I love this song period. for me it symbolizes my struggle with my mental "illnesses" and my constant moving forward to overcome the difficulties that come with them. this is one of the songs I listen when I feel like life is way to hard.

WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT GEOFF'S LAST NOTE?!!! can nobody hear how low that is? it's start out in his "mid-range" which is low and then he slides it down to a subharmonic around an E1! Haven't heard that since oogie boogie. CMON NOW

That’s not *”Going the Distance”* at least not anything close the the well known version I’m aware of, have no idea where it came from. It’s not even the right tune 😂 it sounds like something from a Disney film, still really good but not accurate to anything I thought this would be by the name.
@bartonbagnes46053 жыл бұрын
What a way to end the song. Did you know Angelina Jordan released a new original yesterday, "All I Ask"? Scott & Ryceejo do mashups of pairs of Disney songs from different movies and make them sound like they were written that way.
