This classic song speaks so eloquently to this need for humanity and Lucy has chosen to remind us that what Simon and Garfunkel penned 50 years ago is even more pertinent today. Another good reaction to the wonderful Lucy. I have just preordered Lucy’s next album, due 8th December, which includes this song. As much as you, I and everyone else love Lucy’s low range she duets Pie Jesu with Martha, on the new album and the short preview on Apple showcases her high range. Phenomenal. I’m hoping, with Christmas approaching, that this will be her next video release.

Today, Lucy Thomas and her incredible Voice is Recognized around the World. Lucy doesn't copy music, she Improves it.... How do you make a great song better ??? Let Lucy Perform it in typical Lucy Thomas gusto. She owns every song she performs and soon, we forget who or when the original was created. I have never heard any singer with as much dynamic range as Lucy Thomas. Regardless where she starts on the scale, Lucy never runs out of breath, pitch, or vibrato. Her word pronunciation is so clear, we never have to wonder what she just said. When I was 19, I was a performer too. I sang this same song a cappella live on stage. I was pretty good. But, I never achieved Lucy's level of perfection. She touches our eyes, ears, and hearts. She takes us to higher places we could only dream about before. Just when we think Lucy can't possibly get better, she proves us all wrong. Her full throttle crescendo at 6:20 at end and stunning vocal runs both ways up/down scale leaves us wanting more. Lucy Thomas has 'Arrived'...

Was someone speechless at 7:02? Did someone have to collect themselves at 7:02? As a former technician behind the scene in my mid-50s, I say Lucy is in this presentation outstanding and perfect. At least her vocals. I would have liked a bit more De-eSSer in the mix. But that has nothing to do with her vocal performance. Apart from that, I completely agree with you. When Lucy went full crescendo at 6:20 with amazing vocal runs both up and down scale I was speechless. I have played it over a dozen times and each time, knowing full well what I am about to experience, it's like hearing it for the first time. Her Sound Engineers love her because her voice is so perfect and so pure, they have very little work to do. I have been on both sides of the mic myself. I have insight many don't. I have run out of superlatives describing Lucy and her amazing voice.

Simon and Garfunkel's was great. Elvis' version was better! Lucy's version is BEST!! In my humble (and almost always right) opinion! LOL!
