Theres something about this style of game which allows the attacking side to dominate from the opening. Horrible games when on receiving end.

I wonder if Magnus is getting sick of chess, thinking about it all the time almost every day for years. Even him mentioning not participating in the world championship is a sign. Guys like Alirezza is hungry and young. Also able to absorb all the newer better engine moves easier. I’m sure there are other guys out there too. Magnus has that genius talent though can’t be learned. But the man is aging each day. He still the best but maybe getting tired of it or he will eventually not be the best in a couple years.

Whenever I get sick of something, I look into the future and see it's potential. And even if I'm sick of what's beneficial to me though I'm not in the mood to work for it, I train my self to not be sick of it and just cope while being conscious and mindful about my decisions.

I know this is a common feeling in chess, but its funny seeing people give Hikaru shit for talking like this when losing, but turn their heads when Magnus does it. But in true, they both have their "my opponent beat me because they played well" and their "i lost because i played bad" moments.

because we see magnus compliment his opponent more than hikaru. Maybe just a coincident, but also, maybe magnus does it more. On the flipside, i see hikaru showing this behavior more than magnus.

@@mikeholt2852 On the flip side, Hikaru streams and is more on the public eye while playing faar more than magnus. It's not even close. Of course you are going to see more of both things from hikaru. Even without any streaming Magnus is notorious for being salty af after loses in OTB tournament. (which again, i don't condemn, i feel the same and im not at that level lol)

The body mind muscle (Or parasitic mind muscle), is not self aware, (As it it’s self is unawareness due to it’s being) even though people might know stuff), so when it gets tired it doesn’t know it is tired (It will attribute to its self that I am tired, or I’m playing terribly) - The truth is, is that it is a muscle and blinds it’s self to an attack due to attacking - Because this there is a kind subconscious shut down of incapacitation) - Not so bad in board games, but very bad for reprehensible behaviours due to certain arenas asleep to narrative or pseudo pretext - Story

if it helps to think about it this way, he's just maintaining the same mentality he had as a child, all the way through adulthood. This happens to involve a lot of beating yourself up over mistakes, but an important part of life. Life hurts.

The guy has said his play is awful in tournaments he's won. Said his favorite player was him a few years ago. The drive to play at his best is probably a big part of why he got where he's at. It's not possible to reach your full potential if you can't be critical of your mistakes.

@@universalchiro Rxf6 is probably more resilient but I think that after Bxf6, white threatens Qg7# and the bishop on b3 with his queen. If white were to recapture with Rxf6+, Black could defend a bit longer with Bf7.
