Nah. From the crab stance I mean yes. But for the amount of time he’s been in this sport and still looks like that isn’t good. Austin’s kryptonite is his cardio. Early on was catching gib early. Figuring him out fairly well. Gib ain’t good. Stiff and wild and still slow. He’s been in this game longer he should look better than jake Paul. He’s not good. So many flaws. Footwork is horrible it’s all over the place. His stance is way to wide especially when trynna throw a shot. His actual shot selection isn’t good. It’s just a few feints to jabs to a whole lot of wild hooks. Those hooks keep looping around and hitting Austin in the back of the head. His reach defense ain’t good either especially with a history of easily getting dropped. He needs a high tight guard when someone goes for his head and whatever he wants when they go for his body because his cardio is amazing I’ll give him that. His IQ isn’t as good as people think. It’s still all over the place thinking he can do one thing while getting caught with a shot. For the amount of time he’s been in the sport he’s absolutely horrible. Overhyped for sure. If I didn’t know gib I would’ve thought he had only been in the sport for a year maybe 2

Alright watching this back now I realized gib did a beautiful job of working the body. As low as Austin keeps his hands gib was not headhunting the entire time, he was a bit more cautious this time around he broke the man down. Look at Austin’s body language in the clinch gib was just hammering at the ribs you can see when he backs Austin to the ropes he starts to drop his left hand to cover up his body homie didn’t want any part of that, took the easy way out he knew he couldn’t take anymore blows to the body and if he kept trying to block them he was gunna get caught easily and probably go down again….
@1kjose Жыл бұрын
Look at the finishing sequence gib backs him up to the ropes lands a body shop Austin instantly shells up to cover his body and gib starts hammering at his head so it forces Austin to clinch gib throws 2 solid blows to the body in the clinch and you can see in Austins face he felt those. 7:45 Austin is 100% at fault for his injury. Dude was literally leaning on Gib in the clinch, trying to wear him down so he could slow down his pace. Obviously a fighter's response to being leaned on in the clinch is to turn them around and get their opponent's weight off of them. Gib turning Austin in the clinch was something that many fighters do on the inside; he didn't do it with the intention of twisting the dude's ankle. Austin should've been more aware of his footing in the clinch instead of leaning on Gib and literally walking forwards. He did the same thing at 7:22 as well. Literally asked to get his ankle injured when he's being careless due to his exhaustion.

To anyone that says austin didn’t fake an injury just watch at 1:40 in the 3rd round, he completely turns his back just showing he doesn’t want to be in there anymore then almost gets knocked down then the “injury” happens, he was looking for any possible way to get out of the fight
@christophergaumond1901 Жыл бұрын
it clearly look like a fake nothing happened here , ankle didnt twist or anything

I’m not going to lie I’m a bit disappointed with this fight 😕 Austin kept hugging gib to try and get away from the punches, and then gib would swing too wide and majority of the time ended up hitting the back of Austin’s head or missing instead of actually connecting 🤷🏼♀️ but once gib actually connected towards the end he had power within his shots, but than Austin decided to quit 🤦🏽♀️

I’m not one to say if someone is faking an injury but after Austin gets pressed at 7:37 he then gets a foot injury when they turn around in the clinch? Let alone him putting full weight on his foot that apparently had torn ligaments. Just doesn’t seem legit.
@kingdi9440 Жыл бұрын
The reason why Austin goes down is the body shot at 7:43 that shot hit directly in his solar plexus gib punished him for clinching every time with blows to the sides so the solar plexus shot gib throw sent him to a state of agony he wants to carry on fight at a small chance of Victory (he had no chance anyway 🤷🏿♂️)but he can’t that’s why he screams after trying to control his nerves and pain I’m quite surprised he didn’t drop after the shots but after so recon I looked back and realised he was hold on to gib for balance
@vjtucker5146 Жыл бұрын
it’s a shame that this fight didn’t get a proper ending. I thought it was pretty even, had Gib winning that 3rd round before the injury. idk if people just don’t like austin personally, but he definitely didn’t “fake” a injury to get out of this fight. Why would he go through all the trouble of joining this tournament, knowing Gib is in it, training all this time, putting his reputation on the line again, just to quit ? I think Austin is pretty underrated in this scene, and I hope he comes back and fights again.

He told the world he lost the first fight only cause he had COVID, implying that when fit he is a much better boxer than gib. Then said in the press conferences that he’s more locked in to this fight than he’s ever been. And then the fight comes, first 2 rounds are 50/50 and by round 3 austin starts to gas and gib is starting to dominate. You see austin have that same “aww sh*t” smile that he had in the previous fight too and his body language implied he was tired af and didn’t want to continue. It is stupidly convenient that the injury happens right after all of that. In my opinion, austin realized the fight was heading in the same direction that the first one was in, and that he would get flamed for coming up with excuses and coming up short again. So, being a guy that cares so much about his image, he decided to think of anyway he could fake an injury and call off the fight.
