My wife is a new Christian and I've prayed for her every night since we've been married. (I did not tell her this) I prayed for Jesus to give her dreams of him and one night it happened. She told me one morning after about 3 months that she dreamed of Jesus. She said that she was running scared and there was a large group of people who were angry and chasing her. As she was running she said she saw a tall man in white and he looked down towards her. He told her to stand behind him and said that he would keep her safe. He then addressed the people to leave her alone and move on. All of the people chasing her left her alone with Christ.

Keralite here- yes the distinction is important. She is of Sri-Lankan heritage, although the difference here is that she is ethnically Tamil- which means she traces her roots to Tamil Nadu in India. So she is both Sri-Lankan by nation of origin and culturally and ethnically Tamil.

I’ve heard Prime Minister Lee of Singapore speak and while his standard of conversational English is good, his accent is not identifiable as ‘BBC neutral’ whatever you may think that to be. Why do I say this? Because I was born, bred and have lived in London for 95% of my life. MIA’s English upbringing in her younger years reflects her accent, it’s an upbringing that reflects her time living in Mitcham, south London, which is just a few miles away from where I have always lived. I have more than 50 years lived experience of interacting with many different people in London and MIA speaks with an impeccable Home Counties pronunciation of being a natural from London. But you’re free to carry on shrugging your shoulders if you don’t understand this.

I didn’t really believe in speaking in tongues- I always thought it was the ability to hear or speak other languages. Until I was in deep dark distress and started praying in tongues.
