Good work there. And thanks to Prof. for gracing the channel. I do have a question though... Does he mean that if an applicant has a high GRE, work experience, excellent letters of recommendation, great SOP and only a GPA just below 3.0 will not gain admission and let alone get funding ?

I have HND in Banking and finance with a GPA of 3.83 out of 5.00 grade point in Ghana and a two years Bachelor in Accounting and Taxation with a GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 grade point. ... now preparing for the GRE . Hi Kingsford, Good evening from Ghana and hope you doing well. I have gained admission to two schools and that is University of Illinois Springfield and Niagara university I applied to work in the department for the university of Illinois Springfield and they asked me to provide two more recommendations letters . At the moment I am working on it but then, they made it clear to me that it is very competitive. I went through the website for financial aid and scholarship and I sent the school a mail and I was told I don’t qualify for some scholarship opportunities because the scholarship opportunities is only for first years I later went through the school website and I realized I can actually apply for financial aid so I realized I needed to fill a form, that is the FAFSA form . During the process I was asked to provide social security number I do not have American social security number I only have the Ghanaian one and is not acceptable for filling the FAFSA form Please what do I do ? It looks like I do not have any scholarship at the moment for both schools University of Illinois Springfield and Niagara university .
