I always thought Caleb couldn't actually sing this live. But I went and saw KOL. They played it and Caleb can definitely sing it. He can sing the living shit out of it. Thought folks might like to know that.

Todd Audio I believe the avett brothers have a song that is of equal status in regards to their music, it's ironically similar to this song in ways but with acoustic instrumentation, which is funny because avett bros. have been called the unplugged kol. the song is colorshow by avett bros. I like it and if someone digs this, then it ain't too much of a stretch musically. in all their music there is nothing remotely similar to colorshow.

A song like this is for the real music fans. Sex on Fire is for the zombie consumers who answer "Everything" when u ask them what kind of music they like. Before you'd show up at a KOL show n meet the coolest motherfuckers in your city, now you mostly just meet dummies you wanna punch, and have to search out people who look just as annoyed as you to find a decent conversation. This was their last great single on their last great album. KOL is a shadow of what it was.
