You guys are the best. I was clueless when it comes to building in general but your videos have broadened my knowledge into so many thins when it comes to building especially in Ghana. I have properties up to roof levels and about to start a fresh project in Accra and this time I will make sure I come down to Ghana to supervise things myself. God bless you guys.

Another superb video ! What was the thickness of the upper slab, the "flow" ? Thanks.
@kingstal903 жыл бұрын
If you mean the roof slab - 8inches. If you mean the first floor slab ("flow" - 7inches approximately). Always verify by structural engineer or ensure you use the structural engineers design drawings

Great video as always folks. Thank you. Just a note. The 4 in the 1:2:4 ratio of concrete mix depicts wheel borrow of gravel not bags and I think fron memory could also be 2 x wheel borrows of sand as well. Please check this. Stay blessed. Although I hope to build in the Caribbean. I'm loving your channel and am learning important aspects. It's frightening me to death though the potential errors when one is not on site to supervise. But hopefully modern technology with whatsapp and zoom may ease that fear somewhat. Sorry for long comment. I only discovered your channel 3 to 4 weeks ago and I've been hooked ever since. Speak soon ❤️👊🏾👏🏾🇯🇲🇬🇧

So the cost estimate you provided if am correct, is for the ground floor all the way to the decking. What do you estimate is the cost for just the decking? Thank you

Is it possible to build a property in Ghana whilst living and working in the UK .

Do the land Guards work for the government, and once the registration is done do you have to show them your documents.
@kingstal903 жыл бұрын
No Land Guards are illegal as stated in the video. They are simply a nuisance.. A gang of men causing trouble and have taken on the job of being land security of certain empty plots and basically will not leave you alone until you give them something. for peace of mind you have to pay them off.

This is a follow up question, i have received an estimate for about GhC 80,000 just for the decking part, do you think this is a good estimate or a bit on the high side?
@kingstal903 жыл бұрын
what is in the 80,000? - materials and labour? is it an all-in cost?
@kingstal903 жыл бұрын
Its difficult to tell really. Because the size and volume of your building will also determine the actual amount of concrete required to pour into the decking. does the price include the following: 1. electrical work (conduits/PVC pipes/Fan hooks, etc) 2. Plumbing work (for any continuation pipes to showers/bathrooms upstairs, rain water pipes, etc) 3. carpentry work worth a check that it includes all the above for the decking work
@yawasamoah2943 жыл бұрын
@@kingstal90 So the GhC 102,080 figure you provided, is that for just the decking ? and also you mentioned that some of the bamboo can be reused. I also have been told that some of the plywood and wawa boards can be reused, did you have that happen during your build?
@kingstal903 жыл бұрын
@@yawasamoah294 - we reused about 30% of the Bamboo sticks. the cost figure included the decking/walls/iron rods/plumbing/electrical works in the decking/continuation pillars and the contractor labour costs plus a little contingency.
