I (37M) stubbled across this video while searching on reddit for better hip flexor stretches to work on my front splits. I've doing couch "hip flexor" stretch and ATG long lunges, i.e., knees over the toes. It never occured to me to push my front foot forward into an obtuse angle long lunge (21:26). This is exactly the progression I needed: a solid stable postion where I can focus on keeping my hips square, holding the torso vertical, and driving my back leg down. I have not seen this anywhere else in the youtube fitness community. Thanks Alicia. I'm certain now I will have my front splits in a few quick months.

It has been exactly 6 months since I started doing the tutorial and I am now able to do my splits. I will start doing the backbend tutorial too and I will give feedback on my progress too. Thank you very much for these tutorials they've been my quarantine/lockdown gift

I figured 6 months would be enough time for my body to adapt..

Thanks, I am 57 never done splits or walk overs . But giving it my all. Have learnt to do hand stands against the wall and increasing my plank times. Follow along vids are the best. Feels like my splits have come to a stand still as far as flexiblity but will keep going. Thanks.

This is a great stretch workout! Hopefully, I'll be able to move my left shoulder normally soon. Seeing ortho surgeon next week due to never healing, rotator cuff tendonitis. Till, then...head over heart and heart over pelvis...(to keep back from slouching, 😅) Besos, 😘😘

This was really great! I just finished for the first time and I'm sweating like crazy! This was a lifesaver for me, since I was getting bored with my normal stretch routine and it was motivating to try something new. I love that you focus on hip extension, which is my tightest area. I think for your next tutorial, it would be nice to have a few more seconds in between stretches so that we can change our body position and follow-along in real time. Maybe you can include the parts where you actually change your position so we can do it with you. Thanks!
