I think the quads are smaller because prices in everything go up right now due to a travel ban to Europe… that could be why formulations and packaging are more expensive and she had to Improvise a bit with it. Less product because it’s probably exactly as expensive as last years… just a speculation because I heard other brands had that issue with imported ingredients

Agree completely. Manufacturers are having difficulty getting imported raw materials, transportation of materials within the US is a mess with limited availability of trucks etc. Also, production is slow with safety restrictions and labor shortages. We can expect increased prices for everything over the next six months. I didn't even mention the stopped production of plastics in Texas due to inclement winter weather... that is still an issue because of everything above. I appreciate the thought that was put into keeping these pretty luxuries accessible.

SO! I noticed that the images on the website look like the pan sizes that we are used to, but they are in fact smaller. Also, the front has the hieroglyphic logo style on the website, and I received the "type font" on my palettes. Just wanted to mention that!

Personally, I feel a little shafted be the changes with the quad. They never even mention about smaller sizing. And honestly, I feel at the over $50 quads, there should be something special about them, at least one true special shade. I’m honestly thinking about just returning mine when they come in. They don’t seem anymore special than her bigger holiday palette and it was $78 for 18 shades!! So for basically the same quality you get the shades for a break down of roughly $4.33 per shade in the large palette and $13.50 per shade in the quads. They are not even larger in size this year either. Now after doing that, I feel even more shafted. Such bs. I’m very disappointed in them this year. I better quit typing before I let my mouth run away with itself. (Love your videos, thank you for doing this because I have been waiting to see them before I decided if I was really upset or not.)

I agree! I placed my order two weeks ago and hasn't even shipped yet. At this point, I'm so annoyed that I want to cancel it... and I love PMG. I thought the quad shades were a little meh, but I bought them anyways bc I'm a stan. But now that I know they're smaller, I'm even more annoyed. The quads have been going downhill since the get-go. I'm so annoyed. I want the fancy shades. I'm even ok with getting only one fancy shade per quad, but I'm not ok with zero fancy shades and smaller pans.

Sorry, commenting live as I watch. Despite being a bit bummed about the size decrease, I absolutely love the color curation. Both quads seem so cohesive. The blue/red duochrome is so grungy compared to her other blues, I love it. Mine come tomorrow, can’t wait to play.

I’m so grateful for you! You put SO much work into these videos and try to answer all possible questions your viewers may have! I love this about you! I know it’s not easy to do. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you’ve put into this! I don’t mind the smaller pan size personally, I’ve never panned an eyeshadow in the last 4 or 5 years. So it’s not something I’m concerned about. I did pick up one of the blush/highlighters and then I picked up the single highlighter and both palettes. This of course before I realized the blush/highlighter is going to be the same highlighter I have! But the blushes I don’t… so I may possibly pass that on to my daughter for Christmas. Not sure. I just received shipping notification and I order the day they launched! So packaging time to shipping is taking forever! When I received the large palette, mine has shattered eyeshadows in it! I contacted Pat McGrath and expressed how upset I was that happened, they said I could be refunded or have a new one sent out. I was shocked at how quickly they responded. Again, thank you for time and all the details!!!

Bronze Borealis looks like a cross between Divine Rose I and the Golden Opulence 6-pan. I’ve taken to working across palettes, which helps me remember I don’t actually need to buy every new drop. Still got the two eyes. Thank you again for your thorough reviews!!

The fact that nowhere in the advertisement was it indicated that there is less shadow weight in these palettes. And they look exactly the same as the previous quads some of which were released as part olast year's f the New Year's collection... It seems to me a kind of deception of the buyer , no ? Of course, you can compare the weight of the product specified in the description of the pallet, or compare it purely visually by comparing two photos. But let's be honest, buyers will do this only if they expect a trick and deception from the brand. But you really don't expect this from a brand of such a high price category, behind which there is such a well-known personality in the world of beauty

Even if the weight of shadows was reduced not out of an attempt to earn more money, but for some other reasons beyond the control of the brand. It would be fair to report this on the website and in social networks , and so it really looks like an attempt to hide a very inconvenient fact for the brand

The weight is listed on her site. I think it would have been ridiculous to mention it anywhere else. These are new quads, not rereleases. No brand advertises how much product you get when promoting a new item.

@@akcj1 She released these palettes in the same design as the previous palettes with a large volume of product. both Pat and her team understood perfectly well that most of the buyers would not even think that the quantity of the product had been changed in a smaller direction. From a legal point of view , of course , everything is fine , but from the point of view of conscience and justice , this is a deception

I quickly assumed that they were the same pan sizes, as they were from last year and 2019. When I put this year’s and last photos of the quads together, this year’s does looks smaller. They’re not exactly the same size, even though the presentation is the same. As far as the weight, that’s the only discrepancy I found. If anything, this has taught me to investigate more as a consumer, instead of assuming ahead of time. I never want to think that Pat herself wants to intentionally deceive us, but I totally understand how these circumstances paint that picture.

Thanks for the review Alicia, you are truly the best when it comes to Pat's products, I always rely on you! Now I know how the quads really look like. With the exception of the smaller pans, I was pleasantly surprised by the color schemes, especially with bronze borealis. This one makes me think of the Divine rose I palette, more neutral and subdued, very féminine... It's funny how the 2nd quad looked almost identical to the last year's one with the blue in the promo pictures, but is actually very different. TBH, I will wait for a sale to buy them...

Alicia the Queen of Comparisons! The shades in these palettes look similar to a lot of PMG other shades.Nice but since I own almost all of her palettes I could have skipped these but I'll still enjoy them. The highlighter is beautiful but too light for me.

I was waiting for this review as I was not sure to buy the highlighter as I had the perception that it was very similar to others, plus I was not sure if it was a good shade for my complexion. I definitely think those two quads are very appealing for people who want Pat's experience but they don't wanna go to that galactical color explosion lane, because even the quad with the duo-chrome looks everyday friendly and easier to work with. Also the textures look incredible! However, the highlighter although the pan embossing looks absolutely amazing, I was a little bit disappointed with the color, I miss some more bronzy-rosy highlighter color, something leaning more to the warm pinky so darker skin colors can use it without looking like icy and even ashy. Also, even tho it's a baked jelee formula, it looks a bit more blinding than your fav with the pink compact. Btw, on a next mash-ups please try to overlap that highlighter on top of a blush, maybe it gets less icy. Love you!

Have been anxiously waiting for this review! I bought the deep space quad and was so curious as to how it compared to last year's quad. I'm so glad I bought it because that blue duochrome shade is everything!!! It's more grungy toned but would still pair well with last year's interstellar icon palette and even Mothership 1 Sublime. I just wish the pan sizes were the same size, even tho I will prob never hit pan LOL. I also got the highlighter and the embossing is stunning! And also waiting for the blush trio in amber allure. The only blush shades I missing frome her collection are the ones in that trio. My package shld arrive today and I'm super excited to play with it.
