I love that you say it took you two years to get the pose. So often you get the impression that the inversion and poses come to the yogis naturally, without any work. I started in January 2020 to work on flexibility and a good dolphin pose is my next project.

Kino, you are amazing. I watch in awe of your strength, dedication, grace, precision, commitment, knowledge and love of the practice. (to name a few). I have been doing yoga for years but not in an environment such as yours unfortunately. I am 71 years old and wish I had someone like yourself and with the help of the internet when I was younger. With that said “I try”. All I can say is OMG and thank you or shall I say Namaste 🙏🏼 🧘♀️👏

This is broken down brilliantly! Thankyou for being so thorough. I'm taking baby steps; I've only been going as far as walking the feet in. Even after 3 days I can notice a difference in my strength and muscle memory when holding my shoulders. My body awareness is increasing in a great way.

thank you such awesome tutorial.thank you for sharing this. I have been trying to practicing that but I still found it so hard to shift my weight to upper body. does it mean I have to work on my upper back and body strength first?
@arthurlau45902 жыл бұрын
Criteria : I guess 1: Upper arm and shoulder straight line open enough 2: Suck the belly in Enough , straighthen the spine 3: Forward fold deep enough 4: straight line from hip to elbow 5: Pivot pt will be generated like urs easily I think it will be much more happier than winning a lottery ticket I am working on them. Hopefully can meet Master Kino standard posture within yrs ^_^ Thank you for showing us the beautiful industry standard superb sequence in precise pace.

Hi Kino!And first of all a big THANKS for taking me in the ashtanga yoga universe!Your drills are soo helpful to build my strenght almost every day and l am enjoying your full primary series everytime l have a larger amount of time!Now l am practicing pincha mayurasana every day too...why some days l can stay for four or five breaths and some day l can't stay neither for a single breath?Do you think it's a mind problem or is it normal struggling with this?Thanks a lot for everything! l send you peace and love!
@woah6958 Жыл бұрын
Take each day as it comes. Listen to your body and modify for the amount of energy/strength you have each day: better to do a small bit daily than a large amount once every couple of weeks. I hope you have stuck with it.

Thank you for the tips. I can hold dolphin, but struggle with reaching one leg straight up as you suggest. Is this an issue with strength or flexibility? Will this eventually work itself out with practice or do you have suggestions for drills to work on fully extending the raised leg?
@KinoYoga3 жыл бұрын
That’s definitely forward bend flexibility and will improve if you practice forward bends
@devingray91063 жыл бұрын
@@KinoYoga Thank you for responding. It looks like you're almost doing splits with one foot on the ground and the other foot pointing up towards the sky. This is a result of practicing forward bends? I can kick up into forearm balance (not so graceful), but would like to ease into the pose as you demonstrate (graceful) and I'm not sure if it's a lack of strength, flexibility, technique, or practice. Namaste.
