Thank you...this worked great for me. Saved me money and a big mess. My tractor is a Kioti NS4710C only lost about a cup of fluid.

That's pretty darned impressive. I just did my DK5310 this past weekend. My transmission filter sits sideways and since the manual states only a filter change was needed, I estimated I'd lose maybe a quart or two at the most. Man was I wrong. Took me over eight gallons of hydraulic fluid to fill it back up. I almost ended up doing a complete fluid change.

I'm betting next time you'll use the shop vac. Lol shitty you had to learn through that mistake. I bought a ck2610 and will have to 3d print an adapter for the shop vac to fit in the fill port on this one.

I just used this technique, and it worked great! I didn’t hardly lose any fluid. I could hear the hydraulic fluid gurgling as I did it, so I was a little concerned about frothing it up. I let it sit overnight before using it. (After running it for 5 minutes to fully circulate the fluid). Thanks!

Glad it worked for you as well. I'll be 3d printing an adapter for my new ck2610 to do the same way.

Thanks for the vid - about to attempt on my CX (similar to CK2510). That hyd fluid that came out of the filter looked pretty gnarly to me!

I don’t know how you got the new filters on so effortlessly! My transmission lines are wedged against the filter so when I did finally get it off, I could not get the new filter on! The offset was a good quart of and inch! What a nightmare! That was the orange one. The black one I recall going on fairly easy but getting the old one off…I think caused me a hernia!! It was put on before painting and was beyond tight from the paint seal!

Very Intersting technique

Great idea! I wish the fill-tube on my DK4510 was that easy to access.

Hello, if you don't mind answering, where is the hydraulic oil level sight glass/dipstick for this tractor? I only know of the transmission's oil level and the engine oil level dip stick.
@jondevos7535 Жыл бұрын
With hydrostatic tractor, the transmission hydraulic fluid is the same fluid as for rest of the hydraulics. It only has 1 hydraulic reservoir.

Great idea!! I have a the same tractor with only 115hr .I have to change the filters but I'm not sure if i have to change the hydraulic fluid or just the filter did you only change the filters not the hydraulic fluid ?
@jondevos75352 жыл бұрын
On the first service it just says to change filters not the fluid. This is why I used the vacuum to keep the fluid in.
@trailertrash1100 Жыл бұрын
Why do you need the vacuum? Couldn't you just pull the dipstick and then apply duct tape to the fill tube to create a vacuum?
@jondevos7535 Жыл бұрын
Yes if you can ensure no air gets in through vent also you should be able to vacuum lock the fluid in.

Ayuh! How did you crack it free?
@jondevos75353 жыл бұрын
I used an oil filter wrench. Cracked free fairly easy.
