The Altai and Khakas are the descendants of the Yenisei Kyrgyz that stayed in their original homeland. The Kyrgyz of Kyrgyzstan moved to the Tian Shan area and picked up the Kipchak language but still kept a strong Kyrgyz accent which evolved into the modern Kyrgyz language.

@@stickfigureno.01 With so many Turkic migration, there may have been a language/dialect replacement. We know that the Bulgars were in the Black/Azov Sea region and Avars in modern-day Hungary around the 6th century. Some even argue that Huns from the 4th century were partially Turkic too. The Chuvash language appears to be hybrid of Turkic and Uralic, which implies that early westward migrating Turkic tribes from Mongolia eventually mixed with indigenous Uralic people in their path. So it's not too much to assume Chuvash was spoken in a wider area. But as more Turkic people migrated westward, especially with the Turkic-people in the Mongol Army, their dialect may have slowly replaced the original Chuvash language.
@thraciensis3589

@@yo2trader539Chuvash is NOT a hybrid but strongly influenced by Finnic languages, like Uzbek and Azerbaijani got influenced heavily by Persian and Iranian languages, Tuvan and Yakut was heavily influenced by Mongolian languages, etc. Chuvash was the oldest branch split from Turkic family. Other branches came to be later. Also Kazan Tatar and Chuvash have lots commonality; phonologically and lexically.
