The end result is very beautiful! may I ask what type of white slip you are using? Do you mind sharing the recipe for the white slip? Many Thanks!

Thank you for your comment. The recipe for white slip is introduced in another video. The Japanese names are "GAIROME clay 70%" and "KATO kaolin 30%". please refer.

The bowl looks fantastic at what temperature do you fire this at, when using the vessel with charcoal. Thanks

Is burning organic matter in an electric oven harmful to the electrical elements?
@kiraku-pottery4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment. I don't think it's good for gases that have a negative effect on the heat transfer wire to be released. Putting a strain on the heat transfer wire will shorten its lifespan.

@@kiraku-pottery Thank you for your answer. I've been looking for a thick white finish, like "hagi ware", for a long time. From what I can see, this kind of effect is achieved by a slip and not a glaze? Everything I have found on this type of finish is obtained with reduction firings. Do you have a suggestion for an oxidation method in an electric kiln?
@kiraku-pottery4 ай бұрын
@@christianlarochelle492 Thank you for your comment. As you say, this expression is often influenced by slip. When using oxidation firing in an electric kiln, it is effective to place charcoal and the piece in the firebox before firing. (The inside of the firebox becomes a reducing atmosphere.)

May I know how to make the charcoal firing inside the firebox? Can the firing box bought online?
@kiraku-pottery6 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment. Set the charcoal and the work in the firebox, put it in the kiln, and fire it as usual. I made my own firebox.
