You could only build them a few metres high and you only had a small little cubby space to build in not like you got a whole football park size to build around in.. You don't even get your own energy array beam either. But then that would overload the engine.

@@Integroabysal MMOs are infamously expensive, resource heavy, and insanely time consuming to make. Teams in the hundreds are needed for even the worst flops of MMOs as they're seen today. You COULD make one with two people in the loosest sense of the term, but it'd be insanely shit, ala Dreamworld. Two men isn't even enough to do basic network upkeep and maintenance for regular MMOs.

At 12:52 All they did was apply an animation to the Character model and let it fall, so there isn't a unique falling animation at all. Also, the damn resource counter changes proving that they spliced 2 clips together! trying to make it seem like its some dynamic animation set that allows you to use an ability while falling (Something that isnt really difficult to do) Then all they did was splice a clip of the same method, using a different animation, before cutting to yet another clip of them in first person. All theyd have to do is add a new state in the Character Animation Blueprint with a Boolean (Basically a "If True then do this") for in the air and use the attack button or something to apply the new animation, pretty much how you would set up a Plunging attack or Running attack.

The art that they used for most environment elements are from KitBash3D which is literally made for cinema rendering. Whereas a group of windows would have one massive plane across the entire span of windows, KitBash3D has a plane for each window, equaling hundreds of planes with tens of thousands of additional vertices instead of 4 vertices across an entire set of windows. I use some of the medieval packs for my MMO and my game's artists have shown me the vast ways they've optimized them to be actually "game-ready". It took two of them around two and a half months to fully update a single pack to be game-ready, and they're pretty seasoned and competent artists. So these guys have a ton of work to do to get that art functional in-game.

There's literally nothing wrong with using marketplace assets, that's what they're for. Every AAA game uses stock Quixel and Speedtree assets. But you also don't make a game by just dropping the demo environment into a 3rd person template.

When I saw the gameplay. Jesus on a bike. I expected bad, but that's literally no different than that first time you opened Unity or Unreal and installed the free asset packs so you could tell yourself jokingly "haha I made a game!" and then 5 seconds after running the build, you'd delete it, chuckle to yourself, shake your head amusingly, and start your actual first test project. I'm not exaggerating when I say this surpassed my expectations (of how terrible it would be). I'm embarrassed by proxy.
