In Japanese version, it’s English still. So it’s change depending on the entity don’t true, but it’s probably extremely defunct in the functionality of it. If the AI is still some what working, it probably ran into a syntax error when trying to detect whatever the fuck Kirby speaks. Which I highly doubt is any humane language, so the AI defaults to English.

When I first fought Chaos Elfilis I thought the 2nd phase was kinda bullshit, but I slowly learned to deal with phase one efficiently so I had more health for phase 2 and damn is it the best fight in the game. Mostly near the end of forgotten land, Lab Discovera, that’s where the horror shit hits the fan. Ultimate life forms, Years of planning, a abandoned lab, and..when Fecto opens its eyes and says: “EVERYTHING. SHALL BE. CONSUMED”. That’s where people shit their pants. And don’t even get me started on this… “And here we are!” “ID-F86!” This gives me chills….This is a Kirby game is disguised as a horror game.

It’s also implied that there is a time difference between pop star and the forgotten land. When Elfilin sealed the portal after we isakied Elfilis, the effort knocked him out and he had to be nursed back to health, which definitely took longer than the few seconds Kirby waited on popstar.

When I first heard this, I thought that the twist of the game would be that this whole world is just a test of Kirby's strength orchestrated by some massive foundation, and now that Kirby's made it to Discovera they're going to capture him and run tests on him. Instead I found an SCP.

Honestly, I think the existence of Fecto Elfilis holds a probable answer to one of the biggest remaining questions in Kirby lore - how did the Ancients even get their incredible technology in the first place? The answer? By first studying Fecto Elfilis. Here's how I think it happened - the Ancients were expanding slowly at first, and settled on the planet that is the Forgotten Land as one of many colonies, perhaps after abandoning Shiver Star/Earth, assuming they're one and the same. Then, Fecto Elfilis showed up one day and started wreaking havoc. But somehow the Ancients' military was just powerful enough that they could (and did) subdue him. The Ancients' scientists then spent years performing experiments with and on him in the Eternal Capsule, and managed to gain an understanding of his spatial warping and dimension-hopping abilities, possibly discovering Another Dimension in the process. These achievements caused the Ancients to advance in leaps and bounds rather than small steps now that they could get around the speed-of-light barrier. And who's to say that was the only thing they got from him? Maybe the spears that sealed away Void Termina in the Jamba Heart were created by basing them on the spears (both mental and physical) that Fecto wields. Perhaps the wish-granting powers of the Novas and the power-enhancing ability of the Master Crown were other fruits of their research, even if they weren't immediate results of their study. After all, Fecto has unbelievably potent psychic powers - he's able to create entire pocket dimensions with thought alone, shatter a soul into fragments, and even subsume an already godlike entity like Morpho Knight _after_ seemingly being subsumed himself. While Void Termina may have ultimately felled the Ancients, it was their chance encounter with Fecto Elfilis that let them rise.

Some of me thinks that fecto elfilis didnt do a rampage when it arrived to the forgotten land, only when the scientists tried capturing it did it begin to fight back, and they took that to note as it fought everything in its path, not out of spite or rage, but out of fear. I feel like the ancients twisted the events of fecto's arrival to make themselves seem innocent and try to justify and glorify the torture of the eternal capsule that they put elfilis through and people started to believe the lie out of ignorance and seeing it's insanity firsthand from being tortured for years hearing that same haunting voice sing that demented song. "And here we are!", the only thing elfilis would here for years, maybe hundreds of them, without even seeing a single soul around the lab and being split into a lesser and more angry version of its former self. Either way I can sympathize for elfilis a lot because because that type of torture is fit for no sentient being, no matter how twisted or malevolent it may be. I also think its kinda sad how much more desperate chaos elfilis crawls and squirms when you remove void from its back like it knows its freedom and power will be ripped from its grasp and it will be forced to the same fate over and over again, all of that work now truly wasted and it will truly have nothing once it fails. Just like void termina, the villain doesn't want to be a villain, but in the end it doesn't really have a choice.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was true..... a part of me thinks that while Fecto Elfilis was a conqueror, they HAD that compassionate/merciful side (that eventually became Elfilin) and maybe they thought they were bringing enlightenment/salvation to the worlds it subjugated ala Ceasar and Rome. Elfilin is the part that grew to admit that they did wrong and refused to be evil that ended up being separated and by absorbing a broken down Chaos Elfilis, allowed them both to heal from their trauma, basically saying "The people who hurt us can't do so anymore.... it's okay... you don't have to hurt and destroy anymore.... WE don't have to..." and acknowledging that many of the Lab Discovera visitors were COMPLETELY unaware of what was REALLY happening and/or weren't the same people who hurt them or were like them at all. And all the friends they made via Kirby, the people of Pop Star and the Beast Pack helped play a HUGE part in the healing process as well! This is just a theory, but it may be true at the same time.

In “forgo land” my thought was “Ohhh i dont like that…” In the lobby before chaos elfilis and in the orb phase, I actually had a pit in my stomach from nervousness, remembering previous true arena lobbies and remembering that since of “youre so screwed”

I’d like to believe that before being captured, elfilis wasn’t as bad as he was after. Sure they were dangerous, but they weren’t as evil. It was only AFTER being subjected to hearing the same voice, the seeing people gawk at it, and just being left behind after having its powers used did they truly break and just went full blown evil. Like imagine a dangerous criminal who did some moderately bad stuff like maybe they robbed a bank or held hostages, be captured and subjected to torture for years and then break out, with them now being a heartless monster wanting to cause as much damage as possible.

The lab speech talks about them before they split and still calls them ID-F86, and I guess they kept the name for Forgo too (pretty weird since Elfilin is ID-F87 but oh well) Also “The Ultimate Lifeform” is only Fecto Elfilis when they’re complete, not their halves.

Honestly the games get dark, but never this creepy imo. This is like on some visceral "nope I hate it" level. The others you have to puzzle out yourself and even then you usually don't see the actual effects, just the aftermath (Sectonia, Haltmann, Hyness) Even if this is also the aftermath it's the most obvious and wide spread to date
