I'm thirteen and you have no idea how much pressure there is on my age to have relationships like that! I take dating into that where you don't date until you are spiritually ready for God! So whenever I get asked if I have a boyfriend I say "I don't want a boyfriend until I am age and spiritually ready, I save my heart for the right man and God takes care of me". If the person asking actually puts themselves wholeheartedly to God, the nod and agree but if they don't believe or are in one of those times where life seems fine without God, they might roll their eyes or not really care. I don't mind that because once I truely believed in God with my life, I don't worry about it!

But what if a couple dates for 8 months and then is engaged for 2 months and then they get married? They would only have been together for a year so you cant just base it off the length of the relationship. But rather the trust, respect, and love they have for each other.

Well I have heard people say that it's okay to do that after a year of dating and that's what I was basing it off of but what I'm basically trying to say is people need to wait until they are marked to do that kind of thing. Too many teens do that kind of thing because they think they are in love and then it's harder to break up with someone once you have given that part of you to them. That scenario could be true. I'm just basing what I said off the rediclousness of what I've heard from other people:)

Sooooo true. Refreshing to hear a different perspective on the subject. As a man I experienced even greater ridicule for keeping my virginity until marriage. It wasn't easy (not going to lie) and guys are exceeding difficult about this subject (people made so much fun of me in High School and College). I've been happily married for 13 years and we love each other more and more each day. Sex is meant to be a gift and not something you just use and abuse. Face it... the more time passes and society's tolerance for sex outside of marriage is becoming less and less popular. Sex is like a fire... if you put it inside a fireplace it provides heat, light, comfort, and other good things... but if you put it outside the fireplace you can burn the entire house down, get seriously injured, or even die (in case people miss it... the fire is sex and the fireplace is marriage). Keep at it... you won't regret it.

As a high school student, I'm surrounded by the topic of sex A LOT. Yasssss girl. When I was 20, I lost my virginity to a boy who turned out to be a druggie. I thought it was love, but was so regretful that I let myself down and let go of my boundaries. Not just because I didn't save myself for my husband, Mike, but really because I didn't trust GOD. I thought He was taking too long to bring me a husband and I let go of my boundaries for something so silly. But God loves me and still forgave me and didn't leave my life. Today I have a man who loves God with his whole life and his whole heart. And I wish I waited for him because he was SO worth waiting for. God is so good and I'm so in love with this man He gave me.

When I first found your channel a few days ago I (wrongly) disliked you but I couldn't put my finger on it (something was off) and just dismissed you. I have been dealing with things that happened when I was younger and it was tearing me apart because I know I want to stay pure and loyal to God and to my future husband but I thought that since I had been a victim of those awful things that that was impossible and I blamed myself for what had happened and everything. I think that you believing God is a beautiful thing, and he loves you. Although I don't believe in God, I know that he loves you and how beautiful you are on the inside and out. Even though I don't believe in him, I do believe that in the period of time that Jesus was born, a similar figure to him was born, and I believe that that figure did incredible things in the world. I do not believe in god or any such thing, but I do believe that everything comes as it's meant to come, and that sex should be a sign of real love. It's so stupid that nowadays so many people just have sex without thinking. I think that you're right with everything you say, I just don't believe that there is like a supernatural power deciding everything over the lives of people... everything people do is their own decision and not the work of any other being. Ok anyway, personally I believe that there is no one forcing us to do things, I think if God did that... That would be a absolute waste of time! I heard you on the radio this morning Kirby and really felt God working through you as you talked about social media and how God has blessed you through this platform. It's so important that you've covered the topic of purity especially since you've made that promise to stay pure to the Lord. I was an athiest as a teenager and when I was 17 I foolishly gave away my virginity to a boy who didn't deserve it. I had a very rough childhood and my heart was already so hard that once my relationship with him ended, it only grew harder. I hated people and really thought everything was meaningless. At one of the lowest points in my life, God sent a man into my life to witness to me and show me the love of Christ and the very deep, internal wounds that were in my heart instantly washed away when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and savior. This man I met four years ago and we are now engaged and about to marry in 3 months. He is a virgin and although he is aware of what I had done, he still loves me, has forgiven me and wants to share not only his body, but his entire life with me. God has blessed me so richly and has washed me clean of all of my sins! To the young girls here, there will be lots of pressure to have sex but please don't give in. Instead, pray and rely on God. Set barriers and say no because it is not worth it. You want to share that special moment with the one who you dedicate your life to. God bless you all and thank you Kirby for what you do. :)

I'm so glad you are preaching this message. I encourage you to encourage your viewers to follow what the Bible says instead of waiting "till they are ready" since people feel "ready" a lot. We need to understand that there are HUGE benefits to doing things God's way and HUGE detriments to disobeying His way. I am so glad you are being BOLD for Jesus! Keep doing what you are doing! People need good role models because this world makes them feel like they are the only ones living this way, but it is NOT TRUE! Trust me, when you get married you will hope with all your heart that your husband has stayed true to you before marriage too! Unmarried people often do not realize that there is still temptation after you are married. The self control you develop as a single person is the self control you will still use to remain faithful to your spouse once you are married. Trust me this is so. Some people naively think that after marriage there is no more temptation. This is not true. There are seasons in marriage where you might not feel that close to your spouse and you might feel like getting your needs met elsewhere. There are also seasons with kids where your sex life is not as vibrant as before young children and fatigue sets it. It's important for people to realize that marriage has seasons of closeness and sometimes not feeling as close. Marriage is a work in progress because we are human beings who are not perfect yet. Trust me when I say, that there is nothing like a godly marriage! It is worth all the sacrifice and work both before and during the marriage! We need more Christian marriages that are for LIFE! I've been married to my husband for almost 18 years and God has been faithful to help us through every stage.
