Aww you should have asked the to put garlic glaze on it then the sour cream. Putting cheese on it is quite a “new” development in lángos” culture. It was mostly a summer food. Eating it in cold weather especially sitting on a cold bench just doesn’t have the same feeling 😀.

Langos os pure love, seeing this I have to do some. It's typical summer pool food. Yummy. I also like it with garlic ketchup cheese or garlic mayo cheese combo. But garlic sour cream cheese is the best.

Langos seems a bit like Canadian beaver tails, fried dough pastries, individually hand stretched to resemble beaver's tails, topped with either sweet or savoury ingredients. They are super yummy, not at all boring. My favourite is Killaloe sunrise, which has cinnamon, sugar, and lemon juice topping.

It seems like so many places have a version of fried bread. My near ancestors ate it with butter and jam or honey. When my family moved to the southwest they piled it high with beans and taco fillings. In Alska we found out they eat their fried bread plain with raisins in it. The Navajo fry bread, however, has no yeast. So many neat things to experience, even if they aren't our favorite!

We have Túró Rudi. Made from cottage cheese and covered with chocolate. The original one with dark chocolate. Very healthy and light. Good to trick little kids to get the calcium intake. In the new versions they cover with milk chocolate and/ or has some kind of extra flavour like strawberry, apricot, etc usually in a form of jelly/jam. Sometimes with Nutella cream or other creamy, nutty stuffing, covering. I love the most the original one and the nuts covered. Yummy 😋

@roberth43953 жыл бұрын
Why don't you make it yourself? It only takes a couple of minutes and it is a messy food so you don't want to eat it in public. You can find a recipe below: *30dkg* _bread flour BL80_ (all purpose flour works just as well) *1dl* _milk_ *1,5 dl* _water_ *2,5 dkg* _fresh yeast_ *1 tea spoon* _salt_ *1 tea spoon* _powdered sugar (grinded crystaline sugar)_ *3 pieces* of garlic (not 3 whole garlic, just 3 piece from a whole garlic) *2dl* _sourcream_ *20 dkg* _grinded cheese (honestly, just use as much as you desire)_ *20 dl* _sunflower oil (for baking)_ -Warm up the milk. It shouldn't be too hot as it could kill the yeast. -Once it is warm add the sugar and the yeast to it. -Cover the top of the glass/bowl with a towel and let it raise for an hour (or use instant yeast). -Grab a large bowl and pour the flour in it (through a sieve if possible). -Mix in the salt. -Add the yeasty mixture and just enough warm water to get a dough that is easy to work with. (The dough should not stick to your fingers.) -Once everything is mixed cover the bowl with a towel and let the dough rise to x2 its size. (If you put it in a warm place, pre heated oven, on top of a bowl of warm water etc. It raises faster. ) -Pour about 10cm oil into a deep pan and heat it up (you are basically deep frying). -tear down a part of the dough and form holeless doughnuts out of it. -Flat them out to 1 or 2 finger thickness (try to make them into a pizza shape) -fry it for 2 to 4 minutes (if the oil does not fully cover the dough you will have to flip it) -once it is light golden brown/golden brown it is done -Once its ready to eat put the garlicy oil on top of it (just like you would put pizza sauce on a pizza) -The garlic sauce is garlic + 1:1 oil and water. (3 pieces of garlic should be ok with 0. 5 dl oil+ 0. 5 dl water or 1dl oil+ 1dl water. The garlic is grinded/smashed) -put as much sourcream on the top as you like -put as much grinded cheese on top of the sourcream as you like ____________________________________ Feel free to be creative and use your preferred toppings.

To me, it looked like Kirikou's lángos was a bit "advanced". There was a lot on there. I found a KZbin video on how to make them...they sound interesting. - the basic ingredients (hozzávalok) are flour (liszt), yeast (élesztő), water (víz), crushed garlic (fokhagyma), sour cream (tejföl), and cheese (sajt). It looks a bit heavy, like Kirikou said, but lángos is something that can be made rather quickly and for fun; it's not really a meal. That translates to at least two Uuga Buugas. I knew that would be back! :) Kirikou - don't give up on lángos!

@@Senemali01 ahá! kenyer = "bread" it did look a little bit different. I do know that the dough has to rest (yeast) for a while, and then is fried in oil. Lighter oil might make a difference, but it could affect the taste. They puff up when you fry them. I guess they are considered a "comfort food". It looked to be a simple recipe to I could even try it here in America.

Yes we do 🙂 Except recepies, that does not contain paprika 😉 For example lángos.
@adriennbarna73893 жыл бұрын
Gulyás is gulyás. No versions. The different could be only the tipe of meat in it nowadays. The original is from beef. No, we dont put paprika on everything. Traditional eatings contain it often. The hungarian paprika is famous because of the taste and the bright red colour. We have very spicy too. In some villages people have their income from vegetables, home made kolbász, töpörtyű, fruits and paprika in every form. Hungarian palacsinta is the best! (Creps with fillings. And here we are: we have túró. Which is only in Hungary.) Good appetite for everyone 💜
