Konami keeps giving me the cards I want when I want to make new decks. Scrapped an ashened deck only for them to get new support. Was wishing for a way to search the tach trap only to get the tach searcher for galaxy a day later. Tried to make a majespector deck wishing for kirin only to get it after this banlist. 2024 is a great year for yugioh.

I have been playing ignis phönix so I can pend summon out the kirin without lockinh myself into majespecter with the link 2. It also helpd with handtraps. Iam also playing 3 luster pendulum alongside with it.

Idk if this is a hot take or not, but imo kirin is not only not a good card by 2024 standards, but actually pretty bad. It's a pendulum scale with no effect, not a starter or extender, you can't normal it, and all it does is add one interruption to your end board. Now that interruption is fairly good, a targetted bounce is solid, but it's for all intents and purposes... kinda just a brick? Like even in pure majespecter you basically need to summon it off of the rank 4, you can't even pendulum summon it. If you draw it, it almost has to be used as a scale.

this deck seems consistent enough that prosperity is cuttable IMO, running 1 of ignis phoenix the dracoslayer also enables kirin to be pend summoned, giving you a better grind game. Majesty's pegasus seems better than necrovalley also since it can act as an extender

The eagle booster idea is not so bad actually, however Cross out being able to negate Nib is more flexible

Doesn't really seem like Kirin adds a whole lot to the deck unfortunately. It still lives or dies by setting up the floodgate field spells so getting Kirin on board isn't all that amazing if you can't set it up. Still really cool that he's finally free though.

Savage and baronne are banned so it's not as bad as before, but apo is still rampant and rogue decks like orcust, horus decks etc can make other negates as well, but the best deck doesnt make many negates to my knowledge

Only apo and stuff like photon lord for horus decks, although those can also make sanaphond which no one plays for some reason Salamangreat and voiceless have the only omnis this format, and mannadium if they remain playable without baronne I suppose Talents, evenly and other board breakers are projected to be really strong now

Noooooooo :( Instead of being an interactive deck that can control with bounces, spells, and traps, it just became another floodgate deck :( Branded with puppet feels the same. You take a really cool deck and make it boring by turning it into floodgate turbo.

I blame that on mr4. All pendulum decks are forced to play link monster which is suck . It means u need -4 just to set up your regular control board.

Took them long enough. Kind of silly the TCG decided to bring back Protos and Colossus but decks are getting MUCH better at playing through those so it is what it is.

There is no playing through Protos though. Only preventing it, unless your deck has a lot of attributes.

The thought process is we are going to release more decks that are advantage engines, meaning you can just stuff the decks with lots of handtraps, its the argument cause you can combat it means you will be fine. But we all know just because you can doesnt mean you should.

Play white wing magician instead of luster. Luster is absolutely useless as a card. At least white wing can be summoned by Ryu and can be a tuner that can actually be used to synchro summon.

Adding more to the endboard doesn't do anything. The deck dies on Link 2 and always will. If you went uninterrupted you already had a decent chance at winning due to the insane advantage you generate.

That's always been the problem with pendulum. Like yeah, the turn one boards are insane, but they just don't have the redundancy and recursion that lets modern decks play through or grind out interruption.
