People complaining about the use of droplet are funny because that card was designed to handle degenerate boards. Just because it does its job doesn't mean it needs to be hated. Tear won 6 games. Snake eyes couldn't even win 3.

PHNI Snake-Eyes was the definition of “king of a small hill” ngl. It was always an F/L breath away from plummetting in use-rate and was occupying a power vacuum left by the banning of Ariseheart, and prior to that the culling of POTE. Anybody who thinks this archetype was a paragon of Powercreep or anything more than a passing top dog is lying to themselves. Ishtear played and would still play on an axis most decks literally cannot comprehend

I still feel like the game 3 in match 2 was threw, having summon limit there was no good reason to normal that mourner. Had they not do that, they would be able to negate kaleido and had a good chance to get carried by summon limit, and then we would have a game 5

Tear was able to deal with Summon limit a lot easier than Testudo. Kash and Runick Spright probably had the best chance to knock out Tear if they win the coin flip, but SE could perform better if Droplet doesn't appear in Tear's hand going second

@@GSchneeglockchen Yeah someone explained it. NS Herald and make sprind with it and druis cl 1 druis on apo cl 2 sprind just to chainblock apo from negating Druis. Now princess and imperm will remain (I think mourner too). Tear will have Scheiren, Reino, Sulliek and Field Spell and they dealt with apo and need to deal with only 3 disruptions remaining

It's still in the summon response window, so Mourner can be activated. It's similar to Torrential Tribute. It has to be activated in the chain after the monster was summoned, but it doesn't have to be CL1.

yeah edopro i believe uses OCG rules at default, look at tears last matchup, it was talents vs ip, it used the ocg rules for this scenario

@@crispy8295what he said WAS correct but. The ocg has a diff level of priority for private cards that trigger. You don't have to do cl1 in tcg for mourner to work, you just have to do it at first available trigger window instead of after both players resolve public triggers

Wow. Ishizu Tear came out on absolute fire and took no prisoners. Just an absolutely dominating demolition. We already knew Tear was the undisputed top deck of all time, but they proved it once again here. Congratulations to Tear and Spellbooks on the victory. Tearlament definitely had to work a little harder than we thought they would this year to win though. Maybe next year, have a nerfed Tear build either pre Ishizu or post-Kitkallos ban.

Spellbook is frankly too slow to even make a dent in the game plan of anything new

Runick spright is much harder for Tear to deal with. It has a bigger board, and relies on more non-monster interruptions. Once Tear cleared that (while going second in game 1, might I mention), Tear has basically secured its championship. Snake-eye is nothing in the face of ishizu shufflers and Tear power plays.

It seems like Snake-eye could have had a much better chance at 9:01 if they chained the summon limit then chained masq link off their whole board for apo. The droplet will fizzle bc there is not two monsters and then the apo can negate one miller while they have summon limit up. Idk if they would have won but it is a huge misplay.
