To add on, in minor culture of Japan, having a relationship with a cousin is considered as normal as long it's not a direct sibling like brother and sister. You'll see this a lot of this in other anime(I've seen a few but I'm still surprise till today lol). Though, do keep in mind cousin marriages in Japan TODAY are at an all-time low, meaning it's considered as rare and uncommon.
