Man, Alice’s combat style is just so cool, she’s so strong and her Enhance Armament is amazing, seeing her fight Kirito for the first time was stunning, specially for the way Kirito got pushed back by her blocking one of his attacks

Fun facts that were cut from the anime: Eugeo actually lectured the kids after the fight but couldn’t end the sentence properly and remembered that he wasn’t even good with kids unlike what kirito said in the previous episode. When Kirito was trying to save fanatio’s life, eugeo actually comforted him because he knew that fanatio would still die even if he helped. Kirito said something along the lines of “she’ll be gone if she dies and I can’t erase that soul of hers. If I die I just” before he stopped talking and eugeo was confused by what he meant since life in the underworld is granted by Stacia, the goddess of creation so all souls will return to her. He started wondering if kirito was bound to this rule and what would happen if kirito were to die

Yess, i totally agree, that Kirito's Anchanced Armament is not that cool as many character's in this season, but it still fits him. Not his Bankai, his Shikai. They're the exact same ability down to the hilt still remaining. Alice's Enhance Armament is a recolored version of Byakuya's Zanpakutou.

About Kirito's Enhance Armament, the anime doesn't exactly explain how it works from what I remember, but the idea of it isn't just a powerful attack. What it does is drain and absorb energy from whatever it hits to power itself (Like the Gigas Ceder itself absorbed nutrients from the entire land to grow), which is why it completely overwhelmed Fanatio, as her attack is just an energy blast (literally just a lazer) Alice's attacks on the other hand are a lot more physical, so it doesn't work quite as well against her.

So yeah, just in case it hadn't clued in that Armaments were Bankai references, Alice literally has Senbonzakura, just gold and STR based rather than DEX.

Kirito's sword only wins agains't Fanatio's because of the original object it was crafted from, which is the top of the tree that absorved every single bit of energy from the land for centuries, essentially crippling everything else and impeding the small village to grow. Essentially his weapon can absorb energy from the places it is, including the rays of the sun, that's why there's no form. But also Kirito's pretty good with imagination which is something necessary for this world it seems
