It is now 6 years since this video was uploaded. How are we doing? I love the transparency here in this video; however, we have to be careful not to use grace as an excuse to continue in our old way. I reject the notion that we cannot change and therefore cling to the old man. Once we give our hearts to God, we must reexamine, rethink our goals and life ambitions. And remember 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. We must change. We cannot hold a foot in this world. Laura Story wrote a song Open Hands and the chorus is very profound. We must surrender all to HIM via open hands : Take it all - every hope, every dream, every plan. Take it all - every weight, all the shame, and brokenness. Jesus, I surrender all - every victory and loss Take it all, take it all 'till all I have is open hands God said you shall know them by their fruit. Keep in mind the parable of Jesus in Matthew 13. If we continue to function in this world there is always the threat of THORNS (things in this life Satan will use to trap us and choke the word out of us...remember the parable Jesus explained in Matthew 13...and in Matthew 4, Satan offered Jesus the world). Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” Matthew 13:22 Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. Let's renew our minds daily with the Word of God and pray for one another. Steve is in a very good position to espouse the word of God so I pray that Truth rings forth. Allow it to pierce us (the word is sharper than a 2 edged sword) and cleanse us and make us whole.

I don't understand why this program has Steve Harvey hosting this show; maybe because it is just a "SHOW". Anyway, my point is that Steve comes off as lukewarm. Today he is hosting "Praise the Lord" and tomorrow he is on his secular radio show and on stage using bad language and coarse joking. Before anyone with starts with the "judge not", lets look at what the bible says: Matthew 7:15 "Therefore by their fruits you will know them." Because the word "therefore" starts off this verse, means read the previous verses to get the full understanding. Verses 15 to 19. Please read. Praising God one day and cursing the next day is not bearing good fruit. In the book of James1:8 says A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Also, James 3:10 Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brother in these things ought not to be so. Steve is always saying that he knows he needs to work on some things, because God is still working on him. I get that, as we all fall short of God's glory. But when we knowingly go against the Word of God, and continue to do so, that is being lukewarm. The bible says in Romans 6:1-2 :What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it. I could go on but I will stop. In closing, these are not my words, but the Words of God.
