I have some relatives who when I walk in the room don’t even say “Hello, how are you?” before they ask “Are you married yet?” When are you going to cut that cake? And it’s not just women like Kirk said. I get this from my older men relatives too. Meanwhile, most of these people constantly complain about their spouses and some of them cheat. I ask why do you want me to get married so badly when you constantly speak negatively about your spouse. When I was younger I was tempted to get married just to get them to leave me alone but I knew that would be a mistake and I would be miserable. So, a single person can lead the youth group, but if they're going to be easily tempted into sexual immorality or tempt others, they probably shouldn't lead the youth group. Same goes for married people. If you know you won't be able to control yourself, stay away. The Bible says, "And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell". Know yourselves and work on self-control and self-discipline - married or not.

It takes a special person to remain single and celibate!! In 1 Corinthians 7:8, Paul says, "To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is good for them to remain single as I am". Paul also says that unmarried people are less anxious about worldly things and more focused on pleasing the Lord, while married people are more concerned with pleasing their spouse. Paul suggests that singleness can allow people to be "eunuchs" for the kingdom of God and serve God wholeheartedly. He also says that people should seek to satisfy their need for intimacy through other relationships, such as close friendships with family

CAM, where does it end? When does the community of believers approach the "Christian" woman with 3 different baby daddy's and say something is not adding up with your profession of Christ with no conviction but a glorification? You say your religion reins supreme and utmost in your life. How many baby momma's? Is anyone holding you accountable to your profession?

I'm deeply concerned about Kirks salvation. He always speaks anti-bible or Christianity during interviews. We don't always want to live by the standard the bible sets but it's for your own good.
@ladyofdivinegrace875 ай бұрын
Did you listen to ANYTHING Kirk said in this clip? What did he say to make you question his salvation? All he said was that marriage, giving (tithes and offerings), and sexuality is weaponized against black women in the church. As someone who was born and raised in the church, so to speak, I have both experienced and witnessed these things happen. There's a reason purity culture took off in the 2010s with black people. especially black women in the millennial generation. They were pressured to get married and start families early, and there was an unspoken assumption about black women who remained unmarried and/or childless into their thirties and beyond. You may not agree with Kirk Franklin as far as his approach as a gospel artist, and things he may have said in the past, but he told no lies here.

Wow, this is sad. I am not sure what Bible he is reading. Based on the comments people think this is a license to have sex outside of marriage. If you don't want to get married cool, but if you have sex outside of marriage and don't repent (ask for forgiveness and actually stop doing it) you are going to Hell. I don't know why this is so difficult to grasp. Do we wish it was different? Yes, but it is God's law, so be prepared to face judgment because He is no respecter of people. Fornication is mentioned over 300 times in the Bible and it is clear "Fornicators will not enter the kingdom of Heaven." Good news is if you repent and change you are saved - don't wait because you don't know if you have tomorrow. God bless everyone.

Just got into this show and have not listened to it all. Have we all asked what is God saying in his word concerning the marriage rather than people? We Must take heed of God's instructions and stop wanting to paint our own story or our short fallen wisdom. It is God who instructs on how marriage is to be conducted and no Sex before marriage. Yes Paul the Apostle teaches that if you can be like him and not marry it is still OK bt because people burn with all sorts of desires they marry!!! Learn the Scriptures and know what God loves and expects of us rather than learning and blaming others,please. Christ came for such a purpose, to teach as an example, hence today we're having Christians...

One the very first unions God created in the earth was marriage, without marriage the command to be fruitful and multiply does not exist. We must understand marriage is honorable when God is the head on both the husbands and wife’s life, it takes 3 in marriage with God being the head of the husband. We must not let our understanding go against the Word of God, Let God be true and every man a liar!!!!

I don’t want people to take this message and take it to believe that marriage is unnecessary and that marriage is a scam. That’s not what Kirk is saying , he’s simply saying that SOME churches have made marriage a prerequisite to be active in ministry , and families have made being married a symbol of social and to a degree ethical success. While I believe you do not have to be married to work in ministry, I understand why some churches have made it a prerequisite. And that is probably because of how many have fallen into temptation because they had no “ strings” attached to someone, although there have been many who have been married and still fell to temptation. All in all , I don’t believe it has to be a prerequisite. However, when Kirk states we have weaponized sexuality , and sexual preference , I pray he is not saying that just to give sin a pass. Being homosexual is a sin . Should we show hate towards people who are gay? No . We are supposed to love them through and pray and believe God for their deliverance. But calling something wrong is not weaponizing anything.

Everybody is not called to be single, brothers. 😂 You are not supposed to make marriage an IDOL over God. That is what imperfect ppl do, which goes to why some need to get married because we are imperfect, and marriage can be protection. It covers temptation if you let it.

He speaking the truth here Marriage don't fix sin..Matthew 19:7-9.. According to the Bible, God created marriage as a gift for companionship, procreation, and redemption. Genesee 2:18- It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him When God created Eve for Adam, Adam said, "This is now bone of my bone, and flesh of my flesh. Genesis 2:23. The reason we choose to marry, the reason God created marriage is driven by love. Love is a powerful emotion because God himself is love. Companionship is the purpose of marriage. God designed it so man and woman could have a close relationship. Thank you. Read the Bible. Paul never condemned marriage. That's a lie. It it not a distraction. Paul chose to be single. It's manning the Bible name Cornelius, never married, single, he was a good man who believed in God, he loved his family, he gave to people and prayed to God always. Acts 10:2- An angel came to Cornelius in a vision.

The only reasons someone should get a divorce is if your partner is abusing you, mentally, physically, emotionally or spiritually. Or they aren’t a good person and do horrible things to the things and people around them. Another reason I could see, is if they fall out of love with one another, granted if your partner came from God, I doubt you’d fall out of love with them. Unless they fell out of love with God.
